Remember when the Democrats tried to sell "Funemployment"?

Now they're pissed off, because they know the best way to make a Democrat into a Republican is to give him a job....

This is GREAT news. People vote with their wallets. Lower taxes, higher paying jobs.

I saw one of these loons on the news last night trying to give credit to the jobs picked up but at the same time knocking all of Trumps policies. They think they're clever but come off unhinged.

I wish we would have a jobs boom in Coos Bay. The jobless rate here is high and there are a lot of homeless. That said the jobs needed here have to pay enough to sustain housing and essentials for a family.

People in Houston are getting hired right off of the bus stop.

If any of your young people in Coos Bay doesn't mind relocating, then my advice to them is to make a b-line to Texas.

Maybe the people keep putting the same dumb no vision past their own pocket book back in office time and time again.

Grandpaw always told me if it ain't broke don't try to fix it. Apparently it's broke, so fix it. Start with your elected officials.

I wish Coos Bay was doing better too.

Do you think it's the government holding you down, or other factors?

Is Coos Bay run by libs like the state government is?

What really hurt things here is Log exports. We have a great deal of timber resources that are logged then put on ships headed to China and Japan. They used to be made into lumber before they were shipped out.. Once log exporting began mills had to compete with forien interests for logs. The forieners always would pay more for the same log. The federal government used the spotted owl as a smoke screen to stop federal timber from being exported. Mills depending on federal timber had to close then were torn down for tax purposes. There went our good paying jobs.

If our State bans the export of logs the mills will be rebuilt and we shall export lumber as a finished product.
