April 08, 2014 "ICH" - Russia has just dropped another bombshell, announcing not only the de-coupling of its trade from the dollar, but also that its hydrocarbon trade will in the future be carried out in rubles and local currencies of its trading partners – no longer in dollars – see Voice of Russia

Russia’s trade in hydrocarbons amounts to about a trillion dollars per year. Other countries, especially the BRICS and BRCIS-associates (BRICSA) may soon follow suit and join forces with Russia, abandoning the ‘petro-dollar’ as trading unit for oil and gas. This could amount to tens of trillions in loss for demand of petro-dollars per year (US GDP about 17 trillion dollars – December 2013) – leaving an important dent in the US economy would be an understatement.

Added to this is the declaration today by Russia’s Press TV – China will re-open the old Silk Road as a new trading route linking Germany, Russia and China, allowing to connect and develop new markets along the road, especially in Central Asia, where this new project will bring economic and political stability, and in Western China provinces,where “New Areas” of development will be created. The first one will be the Lanzhou New Area in China’s Northwestern Gansu Province, one of China’s poorest regions.


“During his visit to Duisburg, Chinese President Xi Jinping made a master stroke of economic diplomacy that runs directly counter to the Washington neo-conservative faction’s effort to bring a new confrontation between NATO and Russia.” (press TV, April 6, 2014)

“Using the role of Duisburg as the world’s largest inland harbor, an historic transportation hub of Europe and of Germany’s Ruhr steel industry center, he proposed that Germany and China cooperate on building a new “economic Silk Road” linking China and Europe. The implications for economic growth across Eurasia are staggering.”

Curiously, western media have so far been oblivious to both events. It seems like a desire to extending the falsehood of our western illusion and arrogance – as long as the silence will bear..........

Washington seem to insist on the destruction of this country. I cant figure out if it is intentional because they know people will rise up if they aren't kept busy simply trying to survive or if it is complete stupidity.

I have said since 2007 that Obama is owned by people who intend to destroy the USA. They are having great success.

I wonder which nation they will go after when the USA is finished. Maybe Russia, maybe China ?

Actually, it will be Israel that is put into Putiput and company's cross hairs. Needless to say, I'm NOT worried, for "He that keepeth Israel never slumbers, nor sleeps!" And, the heavens will soon laugh and applaud, as Gog and Magog suffer their first, real defeat. As to Obama's intentions, they DO include the effective destruction of our nation, AS FOUNDED. In the same way that, in 1933, German industrialists and bankers THOUGHT they could control Hitler after his election to Germany's Chancellorship, similar interests today think they'll control King Obama. Hitler soon disabused his "powerful" supporters, as to just WHO would be running things in the "New Germany." And, anyone who thought otherwise, soon found himself in a concentration camp! King Obama has similar designs. They're called FEMA camps. Same thing; different generation! If you have-n't already done so, might want to give your soul to the Lord Jesus, who alone can keep it unto the Day of Redemption. If you are seen to oppose the Regime in the meantime, however, remember that you and I have a date in one of those concentra..er...FEMA camps. AND YOUR BUTT BELONGS TO THE REGIME. Just sayin'!

The choice we as a Nation & other Nations need to make is:
Do we choose to make changes needed by military might or find ways to live in peace with each other.

If people wish to have Russia & China use their Military might to get their way then that will be the world we will live in.

Blaming Obama for all that is going wrong in this country & the world plays a big part of what is leading Russia to feel that America is weak & that Russia can get away with what ever it wants.

Yes you are right! Obama thinks he is the world , and ruler of the world. None of this might not have happened until Obama threatened to start sanctions upon Russia and then did it! Also Obama broadcasting that he wants to cut the military's size will make America weaker. The world will never live in peace, it never has and probably can't. People have been fighting each other since Cain and Able, and if you don't believe ,since the Cro-Magnons and Neanderthals. It's in your genes .

Floyd, it means that Russia believes it's economy has graduated to the point where it is no longer considered an emerging market (that needs to be associated with bigger economy currencies, like the US dollar) and has enough trade that it's currency will be somewhat stable as exports increase. It is a milestone for emerging markets of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa (BRICs) that when their exporting increases enough, they can perform trade transactions with their partners without using an international standard US dollar as a measuring stick of the trade value. It is a boring, nerdy macro economics subject and has nothing to do with whatever Patty is implying.

Just offer her congratulations that Russia has reached a milestone in their economy and wish her and her motherland the best of luck ...so it will be one less country the US has to dole out foreign aid to.

You pretty much lost credibility when you didn't know how world trade actually works and the difference in how currency and TB's work within its structure.

Don't you understand how the dollar's demise as the world's reserve currency will damage our economy? More and more countries are dropping the dollar. The dollar's reserve status has been our only saving grace up to now. We import much more than we export, we don't have the manufacturing base to withstand a drop in the dollar's world value. What this means is that as more and more countries drop the dollar, prices will begin to rise rather quickly here. Inflation as we have never experienced before will rear it's ugly head here. Dollar's now in circulation around the world in world banks will begin to flood back here causing commodity prices to sky rocket. Our economy is already on shaky grounds, The dollar's demise will be a death toll for our economy. It will take years possibly decades to recover from this.
