Yep they sure did do just that. They put out that weekly fake news with the story about the little girl who supposedly screamed when taken away from her mother. It seems that the border guard asked the woman to put her daughter down in front of her so she could be properly searched. A far left picture taker took the picture and distributed it so people could see the little kid being mistreated. After the father was asked about what happened he told the whole story and Time was forced to take the lie back. I have read about this a number of places today already.

oldroy, This business about " fake news " is an attempt by the Donald to hide the truth about himself and his administration. I'm not saying that standard news sources are always correct, or that they never shade news stories one way or another. I would certainly trust the NY Times, Washington Post, and CNN a hell of a lot sooner than Trump.

And what say you regarding the staged, false and twisted stories that have come out from all of the news services you just named? It has just been proven that the Times put a completely false narrative story on their front page. Do you believe this is okay and that this repeated behavior doesn't tarnish their veracity? Are they that slavishly opposed to Trump that they no longer fact check?

You just put two words together that I don't like seeing since it tends to be Demorats who like to use those words along with crap from sites that don't necessarily list the sources of the facts they "check". I would rather see the two words listed the opposite way, check facts. Those two terms don't mean the same thing to me.

What happened with that Time front page proved too much and the fact that they did back down told me all I needed to see from them. The little girl started to cry as soon as her mother set her down. Yep, but it is very obvious why she brought a 2 year old with her when she has a 16 year old daughter. There was very little fact checking showing up with that crap but some checking of the facts from the girl's father told so much.

Grrandpaw always said "Don't believe anything you hear and about half of what you see." That was and still is good advise today.

Did your grandpa really mean that, you think? I was told that by teachers, my dad and many other adults and came to believe it. Any time the MSM tells me anything I have to think that they are lying as they have been doing the past 20 years or so. They do throw in a little truth but no more than they feel they must.

My grrandpaw was a very smart man a real true American patriot and taught me the truth about things. The most important thing was to think for my self. Something the sheeple today seem unable to do. They just follow along blindly like sheep to the slaughter.

When I asked grandpaw what he would do he never told me what to do, he always gave me options. If you do go this way this is what likely is to happen, but if you go that way this is what may happen, then if you go the other way more than likely this is what will happen.

Then he would go on about his businesses and I had to think about my options and make the best choice. It taught me to think for myself and not make snap decisions.

That was and still is the best advice anyone can get.
