Who owns a Bug-a-salt gun? My kids gave me one for Father's Day, and it's the coolest thing ever! I just shot a fly out of the air like a dove!
My wife informed me earlier that tomorrow is house cleaning day, so I opened the back door to let a few more in. It's like bird hunting in air conditioning!👍

Here's a link. Hope it works.

I'm wondering if you can use the coarser sea salt in it. You know, kinda like 00buck, and make bigger kills. It works great on flies, but moths, not so much.

You can also get rat shot in 22 calibers. Same principle. My childhood city friends thought I was the Lone Ranger when I took en out to the barn and killed rats shooting from the hip. Lots of fun and it cut down on rat droppings in the feed troughs and chewed up leather horse gear. Nothing worked better than a king snake though. They can get down into the rat tunnels. Love country life.

Funny you should mention this, PeeWee. I was just thinking about the bull snake that lives in/under our shed. Is he gonna scare the crap out of me when I go get the mower here in a bit?

Would this work on squirrels? I really don't want to kill them, just want them to stay out of my yard.

Haha, got home late from a horse show. Dad unhooked the trailer while I put the horses up. Didn't need the lights as I knew where everything was, then dad holler and said get them a coffee can full of oats and a handful of sweet feed. Dumped the feed into the trough, which was on the ground, bent over to mix the feed in the trough and scooped up that old king snake and almost threw him through the roof of the barn. Scared a year's growth off me. I suddenly was wide awake and felt I had run a four-minute mile. Hope you have better luck with your bull snake. I always flipped on the lights after that.

It might, squirrels have fur which may make it less likely to kill them. But, if you have bird feeders, I doubt it. Like all animals, they go where the food is. Plus you may end up with blind squirrels. Either co-exist or kill them, your call. If you kill them another tribe will move in eventually. If you've watched YT videos on squirrels and bird feeders, you know how smart and determined they can be. Best bet is to trap and relocate them and it's still a temporary fix. They will never recognize your property rights or that bird seeds belong to the birds if they can get to it. The only solutions I know of is to remove their food source or kill them. Ask around, maybe someone likes squirrel stew and will do the deed for you.
