You've done a pretty good job here, but I have a bit of a problem with your lead-in statements. First of all, we are not a Democratic Republic founded in law "including the Constitution." We are a Constitutionally limited Republic, and the Constitution IS the primary law; the word "democracy" is never mentioned in the founding documents, for good reason. The Founders considered "democracy" to be a very dangerous philosophy, which it is. There are 10 amendments that they made that were very important, called the "Bill of Rights," and most of the rest of the laws our Congress has come up with are rather self-serving for themselves and their cohorts rather than good for the country, and many of the amendments above 10 should be rethought and possibly removed. Most of the rest of your dissertation I have little problem with, until I get down to your "illegal immigrants."
Most countries seem to get the difference between migrants and immigrants, but most of our MSM and Congress seem to have missed the train. "Immigrant," or "Prospective Immigrant" implies a migrant has legally entered the country and has been or intends to go through our immigration program, assimilate into our culture, and become a legal citizen. "Migrant" on the other hand is just someone entering the country, legally or illegally. There is another term we seldom see in use here, the term "emigrant" that means someone leaving their home country to migrate to somewhere else.
Those entering the country illegally are "illegal migrants" or "illegal aliens," and quite a large number of them entering nowadays have no intention of becoming a legal citizen, they just buck the line and bull their way in expecting to be rewarded for their first act, illegal entry, which is a misdemeanor and usually gets them a slap on the wrist with a wet noodle. Many are coming in here to do us harm! If they have been caught, deported, and are coming in illegally a second time, they are committing a felony.
Up to now, our enforcement has been almost nonexistent thanks to "democracy run amuck" due to the current coup of the Socialist/Communist movement, and they believe we will take them in and coddle them no matter what. President Trump is beginning to get this straightened out, and that is why the Progressives hate him so much; he, hopefully, will kill the Communist Goose that lays their golden eggs! In this case, the golden eggs are illegal voters who will vote for the democrats who are giving them all the benefits they could ever dream of, requiring nothing of them other than their democrat vote and participation in their political demonstrations.
Now, as to the term "illegal immigrant," IMHO, an "immigrant" having been sworn in as a legal citizen IS a legal citizen, but only if he/she continues to live up to the oath they swore. If an immigrant later elects to violate their oath by turning to crime they become criminals, and should be treated just like any other criminal. However, if they lied when they took their oath, which is a felony, they are not eligible to become legal citizens in the first place, and they should be deported.
However, there are those who purposefully lie when taking the oath for various reasons. The most obvious reason to lie would be subversion to infiltrate the country with the goal of taking over the government and making "fundamental changes" to our culture and legal system. "Fundamental changes" means they don't like the country the way it is, and intend to change it to what they desire it to be! They mean to destroy our country; our borders, language, and culture, as well as our National Sovereignty.
Obama is the most flagrant of these jackals, not being a "natural born" citizen when he ran for president made him ineligible to hold this office, being a Muslim extremist he was permitted to lie by his "Qur'an" to promote his cause so any oaths he may have taken are invalid, and his statement that he was "going to fundamentally change this country" made him a clear and present danger to the USA. He was, and still is, an "illegal alien," and he is still a clear and present danger to our country! We still don't know exactly who he really is, but we do know he isn't one of us! Other Muslims are also "bound by their religion" to lie when they take our oath of allegiance because their so-called "faith" in their so-called "peaceful" religion that wants to either convert us to Islam or kill us as infidels, and take over the country, does not permit them to swear allegiance to any other entity than their prophet Muhammad and Allah. They cannot serve two masters, so they cannot swear allegiance to the United States and its Constitution and laws. They must go by their Sharia law, and Sharia law is in direct opposition to our Constitution. As far as their "religion" goes, we are not violating our Constitution by rejecting it; they are free to practice their religion, as long as it does not force itself upon others who are unwilling, and they attempt to force our government to comply with their religion and Sharia law on a daily basis. These people are thus "illegal immigrants!" If they don't like the way we do things here, they should leave, or not have come here in the first place!

Lets start with the basics. We are a Democratic Republic which means we are founded in law, including the Constitution and we have elections to determine who should lead this Republic in the pursuit of those laws. They determined we should have laws to decide, among other issues, how best to select among the throngs of people from around the world desirous of joining us as citizens. One of the first qualifications is whether we have need of their occupational skills. If we don't need their occupational specialty, they are deferred or removed from the list. Those selected as immigrant nominees are given intense medical exams and those that fail are either placed in quarantine until recovery, or if medicine is unable to cure their infirmity, they are returned to their place of origin.
They are supposed to have obtained a sponsor, one who will help them find a job, housing, teach them the rudiments of our society and assist them is settling in so as not to be a burden on the government of their new country. They are given classes to assist in the teaching and, upon completion, they are tested and finally, they must take an oath of allegiance to our Republic! Those are the basic rudiments.
There is nothing about immigrants requesting asylum since anyone seeking asylum is supposed to be granted such by the nearest neighboring country. In our case, anyone coming from Central America should seek asylum in Mexico or another another central American nation before they ever get here.
Those that ignore that guidance arrive here with families and expect to be welcomed with open arms and have all our charities thrown open to them for life (obviously, not all but far too many are simply looking for the good life without realizing the obligations). But as illegals immigrants, they have broken the law and should be jailed. As a benevolent society, we refuse to jail the entire family so the kids are placed under the care of our government rather than be in jail with the irresponsible parent. They are given shelter, food, water, a bed and any necessities of life; far more than they could expect on the outside where their families would have to abandon them. The best solution for the families would be to follow our laws and, if eligible, get in line to immigrate legally.
But impatience has won out in their minds, and for that they sacrifice the ultimate welfare for their offspring. I'm sorry, the law is the law and not to be sacrificed for the impatient desires of a group of wannabes. It's a very simple solution, just follow the law! The alternative, upon realizing separation is unavoidable, is to return to their homelands on their own volition, apply for citizenship and wait for the system to react. It's slow, but sorry about that!
