It simply baffles me that after 4 weeks of searching and coming up with nothing, that finally this last Saturday and Sunday Blackbox pings were finally found, along with electronic pulses that would come from pilots recorder box, and a man by the name of Houston- gave dim doubt that they were from possibly nothing.
The month of battery life from the blackbox, and pilot recorder box have exhausted their power life and are silent. So, Mr. Houston has now put even dimmer hope on this planes recovery.
Australia has offered their Bluefin 21 sub to check out the possible wreck site on the ocean botton, but Houston has cancelled that with a lot of excuses.

Something doesn't smell right on this as the craft did go off course and under radar until it crashed into the ocean.

What does Mr. Houston "NOT" want to be found?

I agree something isn't right about this. I can only conclude there was either a massive sudden explosion that left nothing intact enough to float and no time for them to call mayday Or that plane has landed somewhere else and all systems disabled.

Patty, Remember the massive sudden explosions when the twin towers were hit by planes like this? There was plane wreckage and debris to be found everywhere, even small pieces of the plane. I can't imagine a more catastrophic explosion than those. So I will have to conclude the alternative.
That plane has landed somewhere else and all systems disabled. I fear what happens when it shows itself.

I agree it would be pretty difficult to blow up 400 floatation devises (seats) to a point where nothing would float what so ever. If I had to take a guess I would guess Pakistan based on the monitor on the Rolls-Royce engines that were able to say how long that plane flew.

We are all entitled to our opinion and here is mine. I think the 777 is safely on ground, maybe in hanger, and US government knows exactly where it is. I think it was hijacked (either by terrorists or some government) for the highly trained engineers on board to pick their brains. I fear for the other passengers.

I also think our government will use this incident as an excuse to "require" more tracking devices on commercial aircraft. And I think our government is playing up this incident to the max as a diversion tactic to distract voters attention during run up to 2014 election.

Do you get impression I don't trust our government?

Sounds reasonable to me.

I agree, Rhomin,

It feels as if a few of the industrial nations (and some not so industrial), especially Malaysia are not that anxious to find the plane, or perhaps know they won't.

They all appear, wittingly or not, to be part of a diversionary tactic - laying down a smokescreen.

For over a week Malaysia had a dozen ships and several planes from other nations searching an area where they knew the plane wouldn't be found.

Then their military finally tripped up, and said, "Oh, by the way, we have radar and witnesses that the plane turned and is actually on the other side of the country."

Then they developed this curved path encompassing half the globe, but said they didn't know if the plane went north or south.

Each week in the past month has had a new and stranger development.

If the plane is not found, perhaps the world's navies will look back on it as training exercises, or some even as "war games."

That's the biggest question of all.

Why did the entire search pivot south over the open ocean, when skirting the countries to the north and landing in a preplanned destination (Either Iran or Pakistan were said to be reachable) seems much more in step with a pilot who practiced in his own flight simulator at home for months before this flight?

He turned the plane in the one spot that would have the least surveillance, just as he was leaving one nation's air space and entering anothers.

That would hardly be necessary if his only goal was to then fly south over the ocean until he ran out of fuel.

I have wondered how much explosive could be packed into an empty 777.

That's a big plane.

Maybe they'll find the plane today - or tomorrow.

I share everyones puzzlement, but not so much the conclusions.

Also, some new development this AM our time, more likely it will be found, supposedly.

As to the landing and hiding, this large a plane would not land in a goat pasture. The places that could handle it are well known and easily monitored via the spy satellites. It is so large it would be easily seen if on the ground, any hanger used to hide it would be in a major known area and not hidden.

However, all the circumstances mentioned give this mystery a movie like plot, and I so hope to know the answer soon..

all subscribers. It is probably on the US navel base on Diego Marcus Island (spelling). One time its been mentioned a cell phone call from passenger wood stating he was in a huge room, the only occupant. Is it true? Who knows? It's like the 9/11 incident where just one time from a balcony they showed the flight into the tower and never to be seen again. Why?

The tower view from the balcony was some fools idea of a joke. He got arrested, what charge I do not know, result I do not know.

I have wondered about calls and the fate of the passengers. I would think that if they were alive, they would try calling..

How would a cell phone over the ocean work?

Patty. the person putting this out didn't imply he got the message here in the US or he was from the US. Its just another "look into it" which I see little being done. WHY?
