Slatten and bahmer go hiking

Slat and bahm are out hiking. All of a sudden, a bear starts chasing them.
They climb a tree, but the bear starts climbing up the tree after them. Slat gets his sneakers out of his knapsack and starts putting them on.
bahm says, "What are you doing?"
Slat says, "I figure when the bear gets close to us, we'll jump down and make a run for it."
bahm says guy says, "Are you crazy? You can't outrun a bear."
Slat says, "I don't have to outrun the bear. I only have to outrun you."
The moral?
never go hiking with a dastardly Marine

He won't even generate up an appetite chasen little ole me down. Them if he catches ma and eates me it will only be hors d'oeuvres for that big old bear. Better start running now.
