The truth sandwich, a method for journalists to cover Trumps lies.

George Lakoff. An author, cognitive scientist and linguist who has long studied how propaganda works, believes it’s long past time for the reality-based news media to stop kowtowing to the emperor

Instead of treating the president’s every tweet and utterance — true or false — as newsworthy (and then perhaps fact-checking it later), Lakoff urges the use of what he calls a “truth sandwich.”

First, he says, get as close to the overall, big-picture truth as possible right away. (Thus the gist of the Trump-in-Singapore story: Little of substance was accomplished in the summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, despite the pageantry.) Then report what Trump is claiming about it: achievement of world peace. And then, in the same story or broadcast, fact-check his claims.

That’s the truth sandwich — reality, spin, reality — all in one tasty, democracy-nourishing meal.

Kevyn, all that is necessary for you to understand how the left thinks is to read this column by this liberal "journalist". Lakoff thinks the media is kowtowing to Trump? You have to be kidding. Trump had one of the best weeks in terms of results in many different areas and the media ignores it and tries to find fault with his accomplishments. We can only pray that most intelligent people can see through this one-sided BS. The media is so unbalanced to the left that it's going to be a continual battle to educate them. We can only hope and pray. Go Trump.

Almost a year and a half of full on negative coverage of President Trump has unfortunately not destroyed him, so now the press must come up with a “truth sandwich ”? Basically your side is merely seeking to repackage what they have been doing all of this time. They do not recognize the true problem. That true problem is their own lack of credibility.

Calling someone else a liar when nobody but your own sycophants believe anything you say is not going to work. Until the anti Trump press rebuilds the trust they lost when they had their heads up Obama's butt for 8 years, their smear campaign against President Trump will not get any traction.

I have told you before. What would somebody who took notes when obama was parting his lips know about lying. Every politician lies or they wouldn't be politicians. Tell ya what how bout you and me round up all of them and put them on a leaking tuna boat to some place the boat won't make it. But not obama cause that turd flouts.
