not being a political hack
I'll just repeat what I said on another post
mayhaps the meetings(and there will be a lot of them)will come to nothing
and then mayhaps the meetings will bring about denuclearlization of No Vietnam(and we can all sleep better)
this is certainly a fact Slat

I agree, my friend, but remain leery of any agreements with North Korea/Kim Jong Un...

Further, for the record, I chose The Straits Times because it seemed to be as distant from the U.S. media outlets as possible...and, on-site.

does the word' Chinese' bother you at all??

Not Chinese. This is the original source: http://fivethirtyeight.com/politics/

It's a good article about the photo op versus substance. Maybe we'll get a Japanese and S. Korean reaction in the coming days. It was a great show, but where's the beef?

Thanks, WCS. I had forgotten the opening to my posting...

seems to me that our President should be negotiating with you
since you profess to know veverything
the positive of this meeting is
you have to start somewhere
and I figgered that out for myself

I don't profess to know "everything", drama queen... But I know enough to realize that the "start" you want to give Trump credit for is the same "start" we had before Trump even took office. North Korea has been promising "denuclearization" for over 20 years.

Nothing has changed, except that where previous presidents had the substance not to play into Pyongyang's games, the Fool President fell right into it.

Trump can show Kim how to set up great resorts on those fantastic beaches where many of his nations people can gain employment He can also reunite both North and South Korea and improve their farming abilities to give their people a better livelihood and help North and south Korea to prosper. Many possibilities exist for North Korea if it will only play ball with Trump.
