I speculate (read: it's my opinion) that you don't WANT to care about what happens today because it is another WIN for America produced by our President, Donald Trump.

(By the way, when you say you "could care less" it means that you are able to care less at some point than what you care about "now". The phrase you should be using is that you "could not care less"...or "couldn't care less", meaning that you have nothing left to care about the issue at hand.)
