Living in Cali means we citizens are unarmed! That makes me fume! I've got 3 newish subcompact 9mm semiautos raring to be packed. But NO!!
When I bought them there were 2 shooting ranges in close proximity so at least I could continue to practice. Since then, they have both closed down because of the hostility of the local government policies. Now I have to drive over 70 miles to the closest range so I don't shoot too much anymore.
When I visit my family in San Antonio, there's a gun store and range every block, or so it seems. Cali could learn a thing or 2 (or 10) from Texas.

I hate to rub it in Walt, but I live in the county where I can shoot whatever I can legally purchase with, or without my tightie whities on right in my own backyard. Maybe you should bone up on swordsmanship. I've read that a Katana can be deadlier than an AR 15.

I guess I'm just lazy. I prefer throwing lead. It's less labor intensive.
I set on my porch and enjoy keeping my marksmanship sharp. Lately I've been favoring my .380 over the heaver 1911 model 45 I guess I am greeting weaker in my old age.
Like an old "straw bottom" cruiser I need to do scrapper 😆

Nothing wrong with that! We have a Sig. .380 that my wife carries. I feel comfortable with it's stopping power with the right ammo. Of course, handloading, you can turn them up a bit. You just keep sharp whatever you have to do!

I know, huh. Well I do concealed carry while I'm in my house or on my farm. I can't even shoot on my farm because neighbors are in close proximity.
Oh well, at least I don't spend much time cleaning my guns. Small consolation.
When I first moved onto my farm I would chop small trees down to clear the land, with my Colt AR-15. Then neighbors moved in around me which put an end to that.
It's easily my biggest peeve about living in Cali. I can't begin to count the hours I've invested in figuring out how I can legally carry in Cali. Wasted hours so far.

Thanks brother I try.

I have an Uncle in Cali who has been through the same thing. They want to move back here, but think they are too old for it. It's bad for them, and good for us because Uncle is hard for us younguns to keep up with!
I'd laugh my ass off if an assassination attempt on Hogg was foiled because of a "good citizen" with a CC permit. (not saying the would-be assassin wasn't a good citizen)

You know you are getting old and entering second childhood when your children think you are the child and they are YOUR PARENTS.
Ha Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

I wouldn't care if the "GOOD citizen" got the assassination and Hogg at the same time.
Accidents do happen you know. Sort of like killing two birds with one stone. 😆😎

So sell your place to some Liberal who wants to raise unicorns. Take the money, go to Idaho or Wyoming or Arizona, buy twice as much land for half as much money and use the rest to buy more reloading stuff.

Out of respect for Hogg's beliefs, I would not dream of using one of my firearms to protect his skinny little butt. (After all, I'm not on his list of people who should be allowed to carry guns. I'm a Conservative Republican NRA member Army veteran.)

I have not had that pleasure.
I just came to that conclusion by watching children acting like their parents were children.
