There have been toddlers who got a gun from moms purse and fired it. There are experienced gun owners, some cops who have shot themselves with guns. The stupidity and carelessness is not a teen problem only. The availability of guns for unstable, people is what worries me. All of you claim to be responsible gun owners, so why are you afraid to try to do something about those other people?

So is that the reason you don't own a gun, you are unstable?

God bless America and the President

Do you even know how to load a weapon?

I have a room full of weapons a few that were used in the revolutionary war by my ancestors. Flint locks, Kentucky rifles, several types of civil war rifles, several types of revolvers from the 1870-1890 revolves of all kinds from the same time period, Spanish American war. My dad and uncle had a lot or WW-1, WW'2 rifles and pistols . Even some German, Russian, Italian and Japanese rifles, pistols and swords.

I even shipped some Russians and Chinese pistols and rifles home (illegality) to my old Grandpa I explained how I was going to ship them. I took the pistols and rifles apart cleaned and oiled them and put the parts wrapped paper and sealed them in cans or containers. It took three years to ship them home and five years to reassemble them. 😆

I will probably give them to a museum so they can stay together. Well here comes "Mother Nurse" and all that darn medicine then its beddy bye for the night.

No, you think that a person can not want better gun laws and have guns, typical right wing logic.

I don't believe many women, permit or not should run around with a loaded gun in their purse. Just because you can pass a training course and shoot some holes in paper shouldn't mean you get a permit. Most women have not grown up with weapons like many men have, but now carry. That scares me more than anything. Think about it. I remember the purse incident, Walmart I believe. Idiotic and preventable.

I'm a woman who didn't grow up with guns at home. Former military friends and my Marine husband taught me how to shoot. My first gun was a .333 rifle. I also have a 20 gauge Mossberg and a .22 Ruger. I can shoot holes in paper, deer, and turkeys. I've taken the NRA training to qualify for a concealed carry permit. My training has always emphasized the safe handling and storage of weapons. When our oldest granddaughter was young, my husband shot a squirrel and showed her the carcass to teach her that firearms are not toys. She earned a marksmanship medal during basic training in the Navy. I do believe that it is possible to learn the responsible way to use and store firearms as an adult.

Our national discourse on weapons centers on banning certain weapons. To me the issue isn't the type of weapon in someone's hands; the issue is the type of person handling the weapon.

How true you are.😆 with proper training weapons (guns) are safe as the one handling them.

Idots are the ones giving guns a bad reputation.
