“Being Catholic explains a lot” means what, exactly?
Hans Kung (Jesuit) said it best: When confronted with one’s flaws and transgressions over one’s lifetime, true repentance will occur; there will be no need for being tossed into an eternal fiery furnace. And that goes for people of every religion. Anyone who believes in God cannot believe he would condemn any of his children to everlasting torture.

So you believe in Universalism?

JESUS SAID IT BEST (emphasis mine): “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me." John 14:6

As a Catholic do you totally disregard the bible? Put your trust in man instead of God and see where it gets you.

So you’re saying that all non-Christians are dog meat regardless?

Ahh... There it is.
Catholics have no need of the Bible, right? They’re practically pagan, right?

No, I’m saying that everybody who, in their hearts, truly rejects Jesus as their savior before they die is destined for hell. There’s ALWAYS a chance to truly repent and accept Him until then. It’s quite simple…accept Jesus or reject Him. It’s your choice. Just remember it has eternal ramifications.

I never said that. I merely asked you a question based on my observation of what appears to be your total disregard for the bible. I’ll repeat my question in a different way and comment…do you totally disregard the bible? You can't cherry-pick. Either it's ALL true or NONE of it's true.

Of course I can cherry pick, everyone does. You don’t follow all the prohibitions of the OT and neither do I. Anyone who says “It’s the WHOLE bible or none” is a fool.
I don’t believe in the Garden of Eden tale, the global flood, or that humans can live to be 900 years old, and if you’re smart, neither should you.

If what you say is true how can you depend on ANY of the bible being true? If that's the case why even follow it? Oh I forgot, you believe in Universalism...everybody gets to heaven.

So you DO believe in a global flood 4000 years ago despite all evidence to the contrary? That all races and cultures on Earth today developed in 4000 years from the supposed 8 human Ark passengers?

Only if you're a dog. ALL dogs go to Heaven.

Some reasons why I concern myself with bible prophecy...

"But when these things begin to take place, straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” Luke 21:28

“So you, too, must keep watch! For you do not know the day or hour of my return." Matthew 25:13

It is against right division of scripture (2 Tim.2:15) to apply what Jesus clearly meant only for His Jewish audience to oneself. If you are truly in the Body of Christ church, you wouldn't be concerned to watch for Christ's return to earth, since you will be with Him in the heavens before He returns to earth.
