Way before... Actually... Right before Bill signed NAFTA. 3 out of 4 of my grand parents came through Ellis Island. They learned English while living in ghettos after spending close to 6 months in detention on the island. Had their name stripped and changed. Worked hard, passed citizen tests, served in WWII and Korea... My father a law enforcement them FBI, I have served... Yes come but through the front door and become an American not a blank national or come illicitly and expect to have a fair shake as much as some one that worked and went through the process. Today no one has respect for citizenry. Become a whole member of the country. Probably sweat, blood and tear into into to assure your children and grandchildren had the same chance to strive as you did. There is a huge ethical difference between some one who strives to be a citizen versus some one who comes here illegally. Oh and of the refugees... Funny how no country that shares their social system and mantras would accept them. Not one country in the "Middle East" opened their doors but turned them all away. Makes you wonder doesn't it.

And where do you get that he is stopping immigration from only Muslim countries? Or even that he is stopping immigration from ANY country? Perhaps you meant to say he put in a temporary travel restriction from only Muslim countries. But even that is untrue. Last I knew neither North Korea nor Venezuela were Muslim countries. But even if all the countries on the list were Muslim countries, if the goal was to stop Muslims from entering our country; why were 59 Muslim majority countries NOT included in the travel restriction? There are two categories used in the restriction. 1) State sponsored terrorism. And 2) Lack of willingness or ability to share or validate important information about individuals seeking to travel to the United States.

He called rapists and criminals rapists and criminals. He did not call immigrants rapists and criminals. In fact he did not even call illegal aliens rapists and criminals. It would be like me saying Jeffrey Dahmer was a sex offender and then being accused of calling whites sex offenders. Just because he was white does not make all whites guilty.
