A True Patriot is going to put this country before a country like Russia, a patriot will put the best interests of our country before the interests of a country that has always been at odds with our vision of democracy and foreign affairs. This we can agree on, correct?

His brilliance took him from head of the KGB to morphing that agency into the biggest takeover of Russia's wealth during it's transition from communism to capitalism, dictatorship to "democracy", and kept a dictator type control through all of it.

We were instrumental in breaking Russia financially, partially through proxy wars. No president until now has aided and supported Russia financially, there were reasons to keep Russia curbed, and there still are. Globally Russia is openly financing and orchestrating the demise of several other democracies. They are good at using propaganda and misinformation to divide countries, and there is solid proof that they have been solidly at work doing it to our country.

Considering that Russia is arming and supporting the side in Syria that the United States is opposing, the idea of providing Putin with military electronics (ours are better than Russia's) is treading the edge of treason and espionage. There is a reason to maintain a weapons superiority, and giving them cutting edge electronics is counter productive.

We have plenty of evidence that Russia has been very actively engaged in hacking our computer systems. Hacking and interfering with elections isn't nearly as dangerous as them having the ability to hack key infrastructure or communications that could contribute to shutting down our country. This is real, it has been lightly covered in the media, and very little has been done to aggressively increase our cyber defenses against that.

Knowing what Russia is, that it is at war with democracy, that it has highly competent hacking skills that rival ours, it is a dereliction of duty to refuse to actively prepare for cyber warfare at the highest possible level.

Once there is an awareness that Russia is a very real threat, the common sense of putting our country before Russia's interests can be the primary thing a patriot considers is the number one priority. Understanding what misinformation and propaganda works is part of seeing it for what it is when it's being used against the country. I will guarantee you that fake news and propaganda is not targeting liberals to strike fear of the evil Russia into the hearts of bleating fearful sheep. Misinformation is in play to neutralize the fear that Russia is our enemy, always has been. Now Russia is seen to have a strong leader, like being a dictator is a good thing. Putin has effectively eliminated any credible opponent that could run against him as president. He has effectively stifled the media by killing and persecuting journalists who disagree with his messages. He has lied to his people and the world about military actions used to take back countries who want a separate government and entity.

A patriot needs to understand what Russia is, and put the United States first. Anyone who is leaning towards believing Russia as a friend and ally is no patriot, they are alt patriots because they are buying into fake news and propaganda that has been designed to do exactly that. This thing where those on the hard right have been played to where they openly make statements to the effect that they would rather have someone like Putin than a democrat in the white house, is treasonous and these are no patriots. That right has come to declaring that they have no use for democracy, that anything necessary to keep control is good.

Figure out where your loyalties lie, Russia and Putin, or the United States Of America. Then figure out whether our president is maintaining the pressure and control that every president prior to him has. This is an end game for Russia, and I do not appreciate seeing our country going full cooperation towards their financial strength and well being. Exxon has been prevented from handing Putin Half a trillion cash, and financing and engineering their ability to extract the largest oil reserves in the world.

As a true patriot that has an excellent understanding of what Russia and Putin is, the threat they pose to our country, I'd hate to be in a civil war with fake patriots who have put a president who has extensive financial interests with Putin and has put Russia and his interests ahead of those of our country.

I would rather have Pence as president, at least he would have zero reasons to deviate from the strong financial controls that are in the best interests of this country. This last caving of Trump is the last straw toward needing to figure out what the hold Putin has on Trump is.

Patriots, reserve your trust of the president until you know what that is, this is not the time for blind faith.

You are so full of crap! You liberal a-holes only care about one thing....and it isn't the welfare of this country. You care about POWER. "True patriots" realize that this country was founded by patriots that cared about this country, not getting re-elected to maintain power over people and enrich themselves at the expense of citizens. "True patriots" realize the value of high moral standards, not the credo: if it feels good, do it. "True patriots" would have supported the President after the election whether they personally disliked him or not. "True patriots" would have respect for the Office of the President and at least give him a chance. "True patriots" would follow the U.S. Constitution as it was written and not keep trying to change it to meet their political agenda. Patriot - One who loves his/her country and supports it's authority and interests.
