7. 2018: Robert Mueller, having come up bupkus on Russian collusion, thinks maybe he can make a case for misuse of campaign funds for the initial blackmail payoff to Stormy. So instead of a Subpoena, he enlists NY to raid and seize Mr Cohen's records in a very dramatic way so that it has the biggest media impact.
8. The intrepid Stormy appears at Mr. Cohen's court appearance being seen dragged along by a familiar looking security person. She stands before numerous microphones to give her opinion of the proceedings.

So we have a blackmailer and extortionist who made her deal and due to subsequent events wanted more. The left was only too happy to embrace her in their slavering need to destroy our President. Mueller was only too happy to use this as an excuse for a dramatic raid to appear as tho he's "making progress". The media was only too happy to portray this blackmailer as a sympathetic victim. Who's the victim here? Hasn't this gone far enough? The whole thing has kinda devolved to slapstick.[/quote]

It's not knocking off a piece of a porn star, that was no big thing for Trump, so what. It's not even the payoff, so what... as long as he wrote a check from his own account nobody gives a damn, if he used campaign funds, if campaign violations were done. It's the lies which are the indicators that it was not done on the up and up. Trump can't seem to take a nothing thing and simply make it go away without violating some law. It's because he is a thief at heart, the idea of paying for something himself hurts him to the core, he has to figure out how to make someone else pay for his crap.

Trump has created and exacerbated every problem he has, it's seriously entertaining and would be hilarious if it weren't so hard on the country.

I told my wife when he was elected that this was going to be some highly entertaining stuff. That because he thinks he can do anything he was going to go further and further out on a limb, and that limb would break at a certain point as soon as the GOP is forced to look at a list of the things that never ever should have been allowed in the first place. Mueller was only interested in getting to Cohen's records before he destroyed any more than he has. Not Stormy, money laundering and working with Russians setting up any illegal deals, such as the Prague meeting that never took place? Such as the Trump Tower Moscow, that even if it never happened (we'll find out won't we?), Cohen tried to arrange it during the campaign and transition for Trump. Cohen bought several condos, one that he paid two million for and sold for ten million, does that sound like a legitimate real estate deal? Any guesses as to whether Cohen properly filed these extreme incomes properly on his tax returns...oops, heavy prosecution for tax evasion possibilities. State charges so no pardons of course.

You know what the threat is to Cohen? If Trump tries to pardon federal charges they can threaten to charge him to the full extent of the law with state charges. Lot of speculation as to whether Cohen has it in him to protect Trump at his expense, Pardons will not help him even though Trump sent his recent message that he can and will pardon a person for lying to the FBI. Which by the way is interfering with the investigation, there was no reason not to wait, Libby isn't in jail or anything.
