I sure hope that you intended this as a joke for the readers here to enjoy, otherwise you did do a very mean thing. I often think about what motivates people. Let us look at this, you parked over the line and someone said something stupid. Your choice, correct your parking effort, ignore the remarks, or become highly offended and do something rash. You selected to become angry. He "turned around and tipped his (I am assuming) hat. Where I come from, tipping one's hat is friendly. Then you followed this person around "and made sure he knew." That is aggressive behavior. So, you intimidated another person and you feel good about it. I fail to see what you accomplished. Revenge? For what, you reparking your truck? You were over the yellow line.
People do the strangest things.

I was pulling up to the supermarket and there were lots of empty spaces all around. I was a few inches over a yellow dividing line and I heard someone curseing my parking. I asked what the problem was and heard the complaint. so I got in my Ford Pickup and pulled around the lot and parked beside the guy. He was headed to the store by then and he turned around and tipped his had and curtseed with a smart aleckey grin at me. I was not going to let him get away with this. So I got my cart and followed him around the store. I got no closer than 15 feet from him but made sure he knew I was there. In a short time he was trying his best not to look at me. I had him S--ting his pants. That was good enough for me and I went about my buisness. Even a Silver haired ol man can get sweet revenge.

Look... The complainer didn't have to "go after you" like he did, but the truth is, HE WAS MORE RIGHT THAN YOU... YOU were the one who didn't care about the rules of parking, NOT HIM... Stop and Think About it...

I wasn't even phased. I merely corrected the offender then backed away.. I don't personally go looking to bother anyone.

I just try to not get too upset about things. It is just a waste of time for the most part.

Kitten is now in anger management class, making progress. So glad that you pointed this out. I had just though it was kittens playing, but great observation. I hope his replacement meets with your approval.

I was willing to just repark until they guy got smart with me.

I agree. In this situation, I would have recognized that I had overparked the line, then thought about the person that was parked near me or the next person that may need to park near me, and I would have backed out and reparked and gone about my business. But, that is just the way I am. I do not believe in revenge, and I do not often become angry. I realize that when a person becomes upset with me, I have to examine myself to see if they are justified. If they are not justified, then I must consider that they may be just having a bad day, or that is their nature. Either way, I do not have to participate or acerbate the issue. I can take the high ground.

Sorry, which story is true? The one you told in the original post or this one?

I never bother anybody but the curtsee and the hat tipping and the smirk just could not go without a slight scare. I accomplished that an left the smart aleck alone.

Consider my post as a confession I am a changed man. I'll turn the other cheek. Glad GinnyT is so nice to kitties. They seem to be nicer than people sometimes.I was nice to the guy really. I never got too close never said a word just let him know I was there.

Okay. I see this in one way, in that you were wrong on many levels, you see it as your right. Good luck. I hope the next time you do this, you do not run up against someone who takes exception to your solution and uses something at their disposal because you responded inappropriately. I know if a person was to follow me and "makes sure" that I know they are following, I would feel threatened. I would even consider calling the police.

Who cares anymore. I admited my deed. sorry I would never advise someone else to do what I did but I was just in a rare mood and not willing to take unnecessary guff. I woulda just reparked and that would have been it but the stupid jerk kept up his assault.

Anger has a "righteous" feeling for "maybe" a minute or two. After that, I have observed, more often than not, the bitter after taste is something difficult to be rid of, perhaps it's meant to serve as a reminder that one should pause, take a deep breath, and think about that action/reaction effect.

In days past I have not always said or done the right thing either.

In life a few timely calm words can make a big difference.

From what I can see no one bit you head off.

The way I look at it there is more than enough harsh tings happening. The more times we interact with people & can have a kind word or a pleasant smile the better things turn out.
