handicap parking is one of the most abused things in our nation
I go to the store and see teen agers and very healthy young people park in handicap zones, emerge from the car
laughing and joking .They definitely don't need the help.
but there are always some handicapped people who really need the help
and it's taken up by someone who don't
I personally park in handicap zones if my wife is with me.She tires easily and appreciates the shorter walk.If I'm alone I park elsewhere

Due to my emphysema I also park in the handicap spots because by the time I get in the store I am out of breath. Yesterday I went shopping and two guys came out of Sam's and started loading their car and neither one of them was handicapped. After loading the car one of them took the cart back and the other jumped into the drivers seat and pulled around and picked up his bud and then they took off. It frosts me nl end but what can one do?
If you see a car parked in a designated place and it has no handicap placard call the PD on their non-emergency line and give the the license plate number, assuming you expect it will be there when the PD arrive.
Another thing that irks me is when the handicapped person doesn't leave the vehicle while someone else runs a quick errand, yet they are parked in the designated spot. I can overlook this if there are numerous empty handicap places, but if it is the only one, no way. the able bodied person could probably use the exercise.
