Oh, I definitely agree w/ you. Very little if any funds make it to the poor people of those countries. Conveniently, there is no over site, no checks and balances remaining in place. It's now up to the politicians themselves too monitor and police themselves (wink, wink). Again, another little trick to get around how funds and aid is distributed.
Exactly why I think we should send Price Waterhouse in....The problem with that is the UN doesn’t want any formal audit done on what doesn't go anywhere.. Lord forbid..
I have often wondered why there is no independant accountability of UN funds going in or out.. A perfect example right here.. A double whammy in climate change once again being used to extort huge sums of money from the richer countries too..Pathetic!!!
Their internal auditors are as bad as they are being a part of them... Who audits themself and comes out with illegal traits.???
Here’s a little something I’ve kept that goes back to 2013~~And its only gotten worse not better..
The United Nations is a hotbed for corruption and abuse. It is opaque, diplomatically immune, largely unaccountable – and has come to regard billions in U.S. tax dollars not as a privilege to be earned, but as an entitlement.
The UN does not issue clear reports to donor nations on how their money is spent. That includes the United States, the U.N.’s biggest donor, which bankrolls roughly 25% of the U.N.’s soaring system-wide spending. In Fiscal 2010 (the last year for which the U.S. administration has provided any total figures), U.S. taxpayers contributed more than $7.7 billion to an incoherent U.N. system-wide budget, which by some estimates has continued to expand to well over $30 billion per year.
In the 193-member U.N. General Assembly, which shapes the core budget and works on a system of one country-one vote, the U.S. is often marginalized or out-voted, despite contributing funds totaling more than two-thirds of the least-assessed U.N. member states combined. Decisions tend to be dominated by substantially nondemocratic voting blocs, such as the 56 member states of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (headquartered in Saudi Arabia), or the 120 member Non-Aligned Movement, chaired from 2012-2015 by Iran.
Plenty reading, should you wish to be sick after it..
http://www.defenddemocracy.org/united-nations-corruption-and-the-need-for-reform/Why we even bother to participate in the World globalist UN is beyond me.. While I appreciate Trump has reduced our exhorbant amounts paid to them by 50% we need to shut them down, move them out and give the bldg to our homeless Vets!!!
