very funny song. however I would add a verse. "oh what have you done with the old dun cow, what have you done my friend? I bred her to the little dwarf bull, cause I like my beef half done"
And that is my silly verse for the day.

SWMBO

Nashville will be calling you, SWMBO.

I'm back. Somewhat the wiser for my week long suspension. I have learned that while it is permissible for someone to call me a liar, it is not permissible for me to call that someone an asshole or idiot. Therefore I will no longer use those terms of endearment when some self-righteous scrotum scratcher (usually an intellectual Lilliputian of questionable probity whose claimed parentage would probably not survive a careful scrutiny) impugns my honesty. I will instead rely on a multi-syllabic response designed to baffle the buffoon as they devour the al dente denouement yielded from their numerous daily nasal strip mining safaris.
While those who defame me remain mired in linguistic mediocrity, I shall create consternation among the remarkably wrinkle-free cortices of my detractors.
I do so hope this clears up any misunderstandings. Until then, peace out, love and tofu to everyone.

No---it is not easy --it is wretching trying to converse with people who minds are rusted shut stuck in the bronze age

I met and made a friend of a conservative years ago the only one I ever met I cold converse with that was a reasonable individual It was great to finally meet a reasonable conservative. I told him how I hate to go anywhere any more because every time I try to some young Republican roars around me blowing his horn, giving me a hard look, with his middle finger up, and running me off the road. He said how do you know its a Republican and I replied because a liberal would never do that. Liberals are not mean spirited

Ahhh yes, dear provocateur.. Your linguistic variants have been missed...

It must be difficult conversing with the basilect of others..Perhaps in their jealousy since they couldn’t berate you into their “ brilliance” they chose to have you dismissed instead....

Take it as a compliment to be considered so envious of you they try to deport you instead of enjoying the often one sided regurgitation of so many I honestly believe they read posts of others and simply recite it in lieu of them actually forming an interesting rebuttal.. As a matter of fact I have witnessed it on numerous occasions..

Anyway, you were most assuredly missed..

I think I get my movies mixed.. Was the bounty hunter hiding under the floor of the bar?? No.... that is a different movie.. and not a very good one..

seems like a good Eastwood quote, but I think I should watch the movie again.. At my age they tend to run together..

I know it is around somewhere.. we have so many movies you would think we were an old rental shop..

Coming out of the mists.. I will recall it just before it comes up in the movie.. that is the way this old mind work now days..

Yes... I can even watch that in my head... Good for you.... good story.... good movie..

And I like Eastwood movies a lot... even if he did talk to a chair..

Only one is which he was a singer.. Not the wagon train with lee Marvin but some other more modern story line..

All his Dirty Harry, and a different detective. he had 2 girls, one I think played by his real life daughter..

Oh well, he is one of the great movie stars...

Will wonders never cease! I have not seen a word, which was new to me, in many years but today you wrote "basilect". I immediately looked it up and it was very appropriate. Thanks for expanding my vocabulary.

Linda's use of the word 'basilect'...heretofore unknown to me also, brings to mind an old quote by Will Rogers: "I'll bet you the time ain't far off when a woman don't know any more than a man."

I'm guessing that time ain't here yet.
