A sign held up by a young marcher in today’s demonstration showed a cut out crosshairs in the middle which allowed the marchers head to show through. The caption read “Am I Next?”
A poignant reminder of the state we find ourselves in on this Saturday. This is the result of the reactive defensive retreat by the NRA which implausibly denies the power of their partisan megaphone, a tepid response from the White House and ferocious pushback from fear mongering paranoid fringe right nutters.
We dont need a gun ban. We need a stupidity ban. Common sense, that much needed friend that went on vacation some time back and has yet to return, needs to be coaxed back.
The voices we need to hear now are the responsible gun owners of America and some fresh ideas on how to regulate gun ownership and acquisition by some sort of peer review.
Today’s march does not appear to advocate ending the second amendment, just a plea that the adult world around them is doing all it can to protect them. In that sense we, the adults, are failing them.

A sign held up by a young marcher in today’s demon... (show quote)

Until America retreats from, or re-tools, pop-culture; the bonding and nurturing of our family units will continue to blight into an uncontrollable plaque!
