Check away. Like I always say; right wing, left wing, plain old wing nut, something for everyone. Thought provoking discussions and juvenile name-calling side by side. Never a dull moment. Grab a seat. Don't bother to raise your hand to talk, no one else does. We can go from structured debate to street fight in an astoundingly short space. I personally prefer people who care enough about an issue to get worked up, even if I don't agree with them.

While I feel that there is good that could come from the exchange of ideas & views.

It just don't seem to be what most here wish to see or hear.

My advice to you would be don't waste your self with a war of words with some one with a closed mind.

Welcome to 1PP, B.J. I'm always glad to see new people join the fray. As others have noted, we have all kinds here, and every one of them has an opinion and every one of them will argue with everyone who disagrees with what he believes. I have seen some logical, well thought out discussions, but in fact they are few and far between. I don't believe most are on here to learn anything, but to try to get others to see his side of things. Having said that, let me say I don't think they find much success. :D :D IOW, people who indulge in political discussions have strong views and are not easily or quickly won over by the opposition. But, it is fun and it makes the brain work - at least it makes some brains work. Again, happy to have you with us!!
