Sorry, this tired and paranoid argument that reasonable gun-control is the first step to dissolve the 2nd Amendment or "disarm us" is the fodder of alt-right conspiracy theorists. Keeping our children safe is a present day and needed concern. Among the Democratic countries of the world, we are far, far away the worst for gun violence. Those other countries with greater gun-controls for many years have not festered into totalitarian states. No black helicopters in the middle of the night or FEMA-like internment camps. Reasonable gun-control does not mean "disarm us." It means greater peace and safety for all our citizens, preserving the Common good.

You want to keep children safe and promote the common good?

Get government to start cherishing life.

There weren't many school shootings when children were allowed to pray and they weren't taught that their own unborn children were worthless.

Sacrificing millions of children on the altar of Progressivism, and school shootings have been around less than half of that.

They've been spoon fed TOO MUCH propaganda. The AR-15 and its type of weapon have been around for years. It takes a person behind the trigger, to pull the trigger and fire bullets. But, that is WAAAAY too deep for a liberal left lunatic to understand.... It wasn't the guns doing. It didn't sprout legs, walk into a school, and start firing on its own... But the left just can't wrap their heads around that..

Its like blaming a train for the accident, when a car stopped on the track and got hit. Sorry, wasn't the trains fault. The car DRIVER is the one who made the mistake.....

The real backstory here, for any who did'nt research it - the Parkland School district was in danger of losing part of its funding from the feds. Too many truancy and juvenile delinquency problems. So, the cops, by direction of the feds and local law enforcement, got soft on crime by juveniles. Go out, slap them on the hands, and tell them not to do it again. No police report, no charges.

This problem actually started with Obama. They were trying to figure out a way to keep the HUGE number of juvenile problems out of the spotlight, and keep the funding for schools from the feds flowing in.
