Greenspan was, probably those who have succeeded him are also. I think I'm focused on the correct bunch, for it's the Congress that would have to make any changes to the Federal Reserve. How far do you think a proposed change would get if attempted? The six percent would rally to protect their friends hold, on the Fed.
Still, if a serious move was made to bring the Fed to heel, it could probably be done. However, I don't think there's a snowball chance in, well, you get the idea...
