You fail to mention the fact that the Republican /Democratic party that became the Democratic party was the southern conservative party. The Federalists were the liberal party of Alexander Hamilton and John Adams witch begat the Whig party which begat the Republican party. Eldridge Gerry was trying to keep the Federalist out of power. So they drew up districts that would lump all the Federalists in a few big districts and the Democrats in many small districts. This meant that although there were more Federalist voters then Democrats in the state, the numerous Democrat dominated districts would send a higher representation of Democrats to the state Senate.

I notice you did not mention the many years and times since 1812 when it has been used for Democrat advantage. It was the best thing since sliced bread as long as Liberals benefited from it. Now that the shoe is on the other political foot, it's a plot.

Democrats were not liberals in 1812 the Federalist were the liberal party the Democrats were the southern conservatives and slave owners

So, again you expose your method of spin...'always opposite of fact'..but you know and I know that just because a Prog reads factully solid content of subject..that in itself, won't derail a well planned falsehood,,yes.. no...?

Look at ol St nic...that guy never lets the truth get in the way of his Super-duper Prog Propaganda..

Look at yourself 'honestly' ..how many times have you laughed out loud..when you are gleaning the Prog Propaganda websites to sling your bullpies on OPP..are you smiling now...?

I know another thing too..if we were talking in person.. I would wear my muck Boots..while standing high ground..

Americans are finally wising up not only to the corruption of this administration, but to the destructive policies of the GOP. The true Republican agenda, from Reagan to Trump, has always been widely disfavored by the public. Only a tiny handful of people actually support redistribution of wealth from the bottom to the top, so the party has had to sell its policies through a series of increasingly elaborate bait-and-switches. When these tricks fail, the GOP falls back on its most tried-and-trusted tactic: naked racial antagonism. In both the Virginia gubernatorial and Pennsylvania House elections, the Republican candidates made thinly veiled appeals to their white base. (Ed Gillespie ran a deranged ad about the dangers of the MS-13 gang, while Rick Saccone suggested Democrats hate both God and country.) Both lost elections they might have won just a year ago, perhaps comfortably in the case of Saccone. "The upset in Pennsylvania wasn’t just a harbinger of likely Democratic gains to come, It also showed the bankruptcy of all the political strategies Republicans have used to distract voters from an unpopular agenda.

None of it has been proven to be false and much of it has been shown to be true and by the tine Mueller is through It will prove to be right on

I like what you stated, Peter! republiCONS are the party that created gerrymandering.
I'm very happy that the Supreme Court Justices ruled against gerrymandering!

You are badly misinformed. Gerrymandering was first created and used by Massachusetts governor Gerry in 1812. Gerry was a member of the Democratic Republican Party. This was the direct antecedent of the present Democratic Party.

Gerrymandering was invented, in other words, by Democrats and historically has been used by Democrats far more than by Republicans. Democrats were perfectly fine with the practice as long as they were the primary beneficiaries. The Court ruled that extreme partisan gerrymandering is unconstitutional, but they have not yet defined "extreme."
