Gerrymandering is used by both parties to try and benefit their voting block. Get over your hate and do something beneficial for our country, LIKE MOVING TO VENEZUELA!! Demonrats have gained power in this country by lies, deceit, divisiveness, racism, illegal voting, refusing to allow verified voter i.d's, and using the big unions as their pawns to donate money for the leftist bs. They use the whores and pimps, the lamestream media, to propagandize the American people to support corrupt leftist, antiAmerican causes and the demonratic parties leaders are marxists, anti Semites, and anti Constitutionalists. I won't go on but you get my drift.

And the fact remains if you can't win in a district that was gerrymandered republican how are you going to hold onto districts when they aren't. If you are worried about corrupt leftist antiAmericans now what are you going to do when the house is turned over to them in November?

Just like hitlery got her butt kicked and never recovered from it, you leftists will be doing the same as you are trying to currently do with the great President Trump. MAGA!!

With Gill v. Whitford, the U.S. Supreme Court has taken the most important case in decades dealing with how Americans are represented in Congress and state legislatures. The case focuses on a Wisconsin legislative map drawn in 2011 by the state's Republican leadership to give their party a significant, enduring partisan advantage ― essentially, to keep their party in power regardless of the will of the voters. By striking down the state's map, the Court could finally draw a clear line indicating that some partisan gerrymanders are so extreme and harmful to American democracy as to be unconstitutional. With 2021's redistricting looming, the stakes are high. But there is good reason to believe the Court will take a stand in favor of fair maps, and against the manipulation of district lines in a way that undermines the representation and accountability at the heart of our American democracy.

The groundbreaking Pennsylvania Supreme Court majority opinion declaring the state congressional map unconstitutionally partisan came down to six simple words in Article 1, Section 5: “Elections shall be free and equal.”

Both the Supreme Court and state Supreme Courts all over the country are redrawing maps and eliminating the gerrymandering Cons have used to wrestle away power from democrats. It's because of conservative gerrymandering that states can vote republican but nationally have a majority vote democrat for president.

You seem to imply, or even assert, that the GOP has a corner on gerrymandering. Dems, included the leftist news organizations aren't even trying to hide their partisan pronouncements any longer. As one of Saul Alinsky's rules says, accuse your opponent of what you are doing.

Not an assertion... an unchallanged fact...

It was never a secret. In 2010, the conservative political strategist Karl Rove took to the Wall Street Journal and laid out a plan to win majorities in state legislatures across the country.

"He who controls redistricting can control Congress," read the subhead to Rove's column.

The plan, which its architects dubbed REDMAP for Redistricting Majority Project, hinged on the fact that states redraw their electoral maps every 10 years according to new Census data. REDMAP targeted states where just a few statehouse seats could shift the balance to Republican control in the crucial Census year of 2010.

That plan worked spectacularly. It's why today Republicans have a majority in nearly two-thirds of the country's state legislative chambers. And it's why in 2012 Democratic statehouse candidates won 51 percent of the vote in Pennsylvania, which voted for Barack Obama in the presidential election, yet those candidates ended up with only 28 percent of the seats in the legislature.

the right is in a war??? They are far far ahead at the moment..

Hold custody of the white house, both houses, congress, senate, most state legislature, most governors..

McConnell gave them the SC again... blocking President Obama court appointment and now filling over 100 judicial seats as fast as possable..

That may be the most serous of all these problems..

We, as the saviors of America have our work cut out for us and we can not become complacent..

Gerrymandering was invented by Democrats, or rather by the MA governor Eldridge Gerry, who was a member of the Democrat/Republican Party that became the Democrat Party. Throughout this country's history, Democrats have used gerrymandering to their advantage more than Republicans. You didn't have a problem with the practice as long as it worked in your favor. It's kind of like wetbacks. If they tended to support Republican candidates and policies, Liberals would demand the death penalty for border jumpers.

Didn't Jill Stein try that already and pulled the pin on it when it was discovered Trump got more notes in the recount, or they found more votes than registered voters? Can't remember for sure, but do remember how the dumacraps ran away as soon as possible once something turned up they didn't like. Maybe if YOU had been a PA official you would have learned that "losing by a very tiny margin" is, wait for it...STILL LOSING.

At any rate, hope your Thursday is going well.
