Those of you, like byron, who are bitching about President Obama and his Nobel peace prize..

Richard gave you word for word the reason for the award.. do you in the darkness of your mind think you can contradict the opinion of the group which gives the award??

FYI, President Obama donated all the cash that went with that very prestigious award..

That was very Nobel of him...

Perm, Richard gave a couple the criteria of receiving the Nobel...and we ail know the man never did anything to impact our society and the world obviously hadn't heard of Obama's renown..before his first bid for the White House..
I asked you honestly sir....what have we been looking for, the last nines years??..my opinion would be we have been looking high and low for early history about Obama..
His pre election legacy was a community organizer...and I'm not sure but, rousing up south Chicago, I don't believe, that qualifies for a Nobel..

He asks; "how simple-minded and partisan can you get" while presenting paul krugman as someone whose opinion can be trusted.

Geez-Louise, please. krugman is a socialist leech who's spent his life eating from the public trough. The man grasp at whatever will make him appear relevant.

I don't care that you believe us conservatives to blubbering idiots, that's your earned opinion. I get that. But do yourself a just turn and seek another to follow.

While I have not looked for much on President Obama, I have had no trouble finding what I searched for..

Some things are private and I would not expect to find them..

Collage transcripts.... No school hands these out. Only in writing from the student will they be presented..

I think someone leaked Bush Jr. transcripts and a great deal of yelling and screaming took place.. As it should have..

What have been unable to find?? specifically...

In this case you would be wise to believe Byron. But you probably won't.

Honestly, I have found nothing that would meet the criteria for Obama receiving the Nobel Peace Prize..

Al Gore was awarded the Peace, Nobel for his incessant push of Climate Change, so my point is unless over in Oslo where the Nobel Peace Prize is presented there is a secret vault that holds all of Obama's qualifying achievements, he didn't deserve a peace prize, with legitimate history anyways..

The simple truth is, after anybody and everybody has thoroughly search for a clue, as far as I know, there isn't supporting evidence for Obama being awarded the Prize..

this is what the committee said when awarding the prize..

I can say they made a fine choice.. And most of the world agrees..

https://www.nobelprize.org/nobel_prizes/peace/laureates/2009/press.html

The Nobel Peace Prize for 2009
The Norwegian Nobel Committee has decided that the Nobel Peace Prize for 2009 is to be awarded to President Barack Obama for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples. The Committee has attached special importance to Obama's vision of and work for a world without nuclear weapons.

Obama has as President created a new climate in international politics. Multilateral diplomacy has regained a central position, with emphasis on the role that the United Nations and other international institutions can play. Dialogue and negotiations are preferred as instruments for resolving even the most difficult international conflicts. The vision of a world free from nuclear arms has powerfully stimulated disarmament and arms control negotiations. Thanks to Obama's initiative, the USA is now playing a more constructive role in meeting the great climatic challenges the world is confronting. Democracy and human rights are to be strengthened.

Only very rarely has a person to the same extent as Obama captured the world's attention and given its people hope for a better future. His diplomacy is founded in the concept that those who are to lead the world must do so on the basis of values and attitudes that are shared by the majority of the world's population.

Give me a break. Obama took office on Jan 20, and was awarded the prize on Oct 9. What did he accomplish in that 9 1/2 months? Damn little. Here is a link. Bear in mind this is the first year, not just the first nine months.

If you do not agree with the Nobel award, talk to the committee... I had nothing to do with the award...

I simply celebrate the fact..

I was laid up for much of 2009 because of some serious surgeries. (Plural). They might as well have given the prize to me, because I accomplished damn near as much flat on my back.

You must have dislocated your jaw from blathering falsehoods and false accusations, and needed two hip transplants from excessive angry Rumplestiltskin-type stomping around over Obama! And who paid for your medical treatment? I bet you sucked every penny of payment you could out of the Government !

So it is ok by you that the rest of the citizens of this country pay for your medical care.

Why not? You think veterans should not have care? Besides, dipstick, half the citizens in this country pay no income tax. Try again, Thumbelina.
If you have insurance someone pays for it. Are you really that stupid? (Never mind; rhetorical question.)

He was talking about "free medical care" and "free education" earlier. Do you think he had an epiphany and realized that just because he didn't have to pay for it, it was not free? He must think all the doctors and teachers donate their time freely. Pharma companies donate drugs, hospital staff works for free, and so do teachers and school administrators. After all, it's Mexifornia.
