If you like fiction, you will greatly enjoy "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak. It gets a bit harrowing at times, but it is unquestionably the best novel I have read in a long time. It is set in Germany during the early years of World War 2. The awards and recognition it has garnered are extensive. Publisherrs Weekly called it "Best Book of the Year."

I just inherited my Pa's '79 Ford 4WD.

It has a 400 small block with an RV cam. It's all I've been able to read up on lately.

WTF! He ordered it special and the dwell makes no sense!

It idles like shit until it warms up. I've never had a Ford that did that.

Once it warms up you can spend days idling along with good gas mileage in the low gears.

Any insights guys?

My auto experience and knowledge is limited to putting gas into the fuel tank. I also know how to start and stop the auto. Other than that, I call AAA.

Does it miss at all?? Is it a male or female?? What time are you trying to warm it up and does it shimmy from being so cold??

My suggestion, run it by your mechanic of choice and let him check it out for you..

Linda, I love it when you talk dirty! My women usually start shimmying after being warmed up.

It should have a four barrel carb, you might want to replace the automatic choke thermostat. I worked on a lot of 70 to 90fords and they always had choke problems. Wouldn't hurt to throw a carb kit in it, that will also go a long way. Hope this helps

I read that aloud to my children about 6 years ago, and yes it was a great book, if not a bit dark. They also came out with a movie, which is also good. Sadly now I read alone, I miss that part of my routine, which spanned about 15 years.
