Yes, very good, but this is not just any fungus, but chaga. It is loaded with antioxidant, anti inflammatory, ant aging properties. There is a region of Siberia, where its use is common, lifespans up to 120 are not uncommon. I've been looking for it all winter, was so happy yesterday when I found some, while out gathering sticks. The small amount I harvested would sell for about $50. I certainly dont expect
I'll live to be 120, but am happy when I find something that may smooth the journey a bit. You should look it up.

I just wrote it down. My wife is into the natural stuff really bigly. And that's a good thing, but, geez! Every time I turn around, I'm getting something new. She fed me some kind of bean stuff with kale the other day that is supposed to be some kind of super food. It.......well, Tabasco couldn't even make it taste good. Bleh!

I wonder about the smooth part of that turd you found. Was it growing on a flat rock? And, what does it taste like, and how do you cook with it?

I've been interested in medicinal mushrooms for a long time, but when I landed in the hospital with pneumonia last fall, I really began to study the different varieties. I was told I would need inhalers and steriods to live, and wanted none of that. So Chaga is one of many mushrooms with healling properties, but also the ugliest. It grows mostly on Birch in Northern climes, looks like a big black blister, but gold inside. It is very woody, needs to be cut up with a saw first, then a strong coffee grinder. You brew it like tea, but longer and strain.
It has a very mild taste and extracts of it are added to some very expensive coffees. You can buy it online in capsule form, best is dual extract, meaning they get the water and oil soluble componants out. I prefer it closer to natural state and ordered some Maine chaga chunks, four ounces dry was about $25. I haven't had even a sniffle since October. No meds, no flue shot, so I'm doing something right. No side effect, unless you're really consuming tons of it. on blood thinner also. The flat was merely where I cut it

Thinking of trying C-60 (C is for carbon), has anyone tried it and what was your experience? Suppose to remove toxins really well. Made from activated charcoal and olive oil.

Thank You for this information..Just finished a bout of double lung pneumonia that put me into acute respiratory failure before finally healing enough to get out of the hospital 8 days later..

SHMBO saw that I was looking for natural based anything since I was going to be using steroids and inhalers for a bit so said my Dr.. She sent me a book that is fantastic for any number of natural healing agents found in different foods.
They also work... She also gave me one using mushrooms that I swear helped better than those steroids I hated using...

I will look for this mushroom first checking to see if it grows here in Colorado??
Thank You again for sharing~~

I hope you are now fully recovered and not left with scarred tissue..
