Trump released his 2019 budget last week, and it included $266 billion in cuts to Medicare, which provides health insurance to 58 million Americans 65 and older. After all it’s only fair that Trump gives himself a huge break from his already low taxes. Paying hush money to porn actresses dosn’t come cheep and grandma dosn’t really need her medicine.

The projected cuts do not appear to affect regular Medicare, but rather the "disability" portion of the program. But,
it does reduce funding for food stamps and replaces major portions of obamacare. Do keep in mind, the budget must be approved and I do not know of any proposed budget --ever in history--that was approved as proposed.

The truth is if entitlements aren't reformed we won't need a budget anymore. Hard truth. I doubt if the proposed cut is an actual cut. More like a cut in the growth of a program. All the sudden when it comes to cuts, reform, or reductions in government spending the worry from liberals about the debt goes away. Debt only matters to them if it's got something to do with tax cuts. Most of the cuts would be to disability. Damn kevy might have to get an actual job. Obama exploded the disability payments by letting able bodied people collect it if they "feel" bad.

I agree with you. What I suspect is new disability claims may be harder to get. Right now, at any age a person can be determined to be disabled..... for almost any reason. If what I have read and I have understood it correctly, the proposed budget does not grow any of these programs, but rather funds them at current levels with exception of SS... which is capped by cost of living increases that are mandatory under Public Law 106-554, passed in the 70s.

I think you are really so dumb if not prolific LIAR Kevyn. Here are the facts.
In 2010, Mr. Obama took $780 billion dollars from Seniors' Medicare funds to start funding for the Obamacare.
After that fund was exhausted, then he targeted Fannie/Freddie Mac for several billion dollars more, taking money that belong to the stockholders. It was not sufficient to cover the costs of medical care for more than 21 million illegals aliens and Muslim terrorists. Obama Care went bankrupt thus Medical premiums for taxpaying citizens went up too high and some almost doubled.

All Federal, State, and local government employees are not included in the ObamaCare, because they have the Cadillac coverage paid for by the Federal government funds, and the State government funds. I know details of this as a State Auditor where the funds were taken, and where they were expended.

President Trump did NOT reduce Medicare funds for senior citizens. He reduced the Medicaid funding for illegals because so many illegals and Muslim terrorists should not be covered. Whereas during Mr. Obama, they were all covered, thus Obamacare went bankrupt. Illegals are fraudulent voters for democrats, given them a quid-pro-quo benefited of medical care.

By the way all Seniors are also benefited in the new tax bill of president Trump. This is due to the increase in standard deductions, and increase in the amount covered with the low rates. Rates have gone lower.
Low income and senior citizens are mostly benefited by the new tax overhaul of president Trump.

Most higher middle income taxpayers will pay higher tax in this new tax reform bill. I am one of those who will pay higher taxes starting 2018.

I do want to add this about disability. With two types of cancer I was flat out denied because I could still walk. Yet I’ve met several people from “other” countries who for some reason had no problems obtaining full disability under butthouse. Maybe it’s because I’m deplorable and a confirmed “racist” since I’m white. I don’t know maybe I was wrong but driving my old truck and watching these disabled folks get into their almost new 50K vehicles sort made me wonder.

My mother-in-law has Medicare insurance, in addition to supplemental insurance that she paid premium each month. But because of the babies of these illegal Mexicans about to drop, they gave preference to the illegals to get ahead. I had to talk to the nurses and doctors several time, before my mother got in.
