S. There is no argument that the Leftist Oppressors can disarm a nation. That said I read Peter's comment a little differently in that the gun has been with us for 1100 years and is a fixture of human existence as much as food and water. When, in the perfect Leftist world every firearm is banned from private ownership; when every gun is confiscated and destroyed ... evil people with no regard for the law who are bent on mayhem will find a gun. The Leftists know this as well as anyone. They don't care though because their objective is to politicize their way to accomplishing their supreme objective ... disarming of law abiding citizens of America. They not only need the mass shootings they encourage them by purposefully ignoring the true cause.

We need to be aware that the foolishness of 'gun control' as hammered by the Democrats has nothing to do with prevention. In point of fact, taking mass shootings away from the Leftist Democrats would be akin to taking away racism ... very disruptive to their agenda and objective of central government control of all human activity.

I agree that firearms will never be un-invented or totally eradicated. I am concerned about my guaranteed rights to own and possess them.

You and I are more intelligent, more reasonable than the emotions-driven mob which holds precious the view that if your firearms and my firearms were taken from us, all school kids would be suddenly safer. We also agree, I presume, that laws will never keep the lawless from raping, killing, and just being criminals.

Leftists make laws to make themselves feel good emotionally while exerting control over other human beings. The term "outlaw" is outside the tiny sphere they call rational thought ... And when it fails because they did not address the core problem or issue they simply make more law ... kind of like fluffing the pillow. And there in resides the massive danger to our fundamental freedom;

When laws intensifying background checks and laws banning certain weapons and laws banning magazines don't work ... the fluffing of the pillow will never end until there is nothing left of individual rights and freedoms.
