X22 Report: The Retail Apocalypse Picks Up Speed, This Will Not End Well

This is a gloomy contrarian view of the economy which unfirtunately seems to be more consistent with reality than the cheerleader announcements from the government.

Even this... so sad.

I agree, I'm guilty too. I purchase much online, it's cheaper outright, no time and gas wasted, no fighting traffic and crowds. Property mgmt companies are going to have to rewrite the book on attracting people to malls and shopping ctrs. And it comes right to your door.

Gibson's problems are directly related to Obama's people. Research it.

I too make most purchases on line simply because I can view a wider selection and get previous purchasers feedback on quality with ease. The old schlepping from store to store was exhausting and couldn't begin to compare with the variety now available on-line. However, I spend far less than I used to; my purchases are more for absolute necessities rather than impulse buys or wishes. I have a huge wish list on Amazon that I purge every five or six months because if I didn't need it by then, I didn't need it at all.

I have reached a time in my life when I need to divest myself of possessions. I have little room for more and little prospect of ever using what I have, no need to add more useless tchotchkes to the heap I will leave behind.
