After reading the piece by Sidney Secular, I'm inclined to think my stuff, irrelevant. And perhaps it is irrelevant, and I'm the only one with the hubris to think it could be relevant. With that in mind: I'm still gonna post my thoughts concerning the Parkland Flordia shooting.

What I've posted here is in response to a column featured in the Corpus Christy, "Caller-Times" newspaper written by the opinion page editor.

******************************************************************************************************************

I'll begin with Colleen McIntyre's comment where she states: "There is no reason for any civilian to have an AR-15". Perhaps, it's because, I wasn't subjected to much disciplined as a youth, and never did I have to submit to an authority figure, that, I resent Colleen McIntyre, or anyone else, telling me what I should or shouldn't have.

Colleen McIntyre and all those like her can stuff it!

Listening to the talking heads since the carnage at Marjory Stoneman Highschool, one doesn't have to be too astute to recognize how these travesties become politicised by the Democrats and those who want to see the Second Amendment abolished and all guns confiscated from the public.

What is disconcerting, is the hand ringing and phony rhetoric by the Democratic Liberals who never miss an opportunity to capitalize on a tragedy of this magnitude. What is also disconcerting, is the conservative-common-sense-side of the issue being reduced to matching the phony rhetoric of the Liberals, so not to seem insensitive.

No one would dismiss what has happened; the sadness of losing a child is beyond comprehension, plus, it is beyond me to know what these kids are feeling, after this type of an attack.

However, I know, from being at one time a teenager myself; teenagers tend to take themselves too seriously and have a sense of drama that can affect judgment, no matter how articulate and mature-appearing they seem.

There have been studies that conclude that the thinking process hasn't matured until near the mid-thirties. And for some, the process takes longer. So what these kids at Marjory Highschool are thinking, and feeling at present, will no doubt change with time.

There's talk of marches taking place in Washington by children who have gone through similar tragedies, and others, in the hope of pressuring our leaders into doing something that appears to be a solution, unfortunately; any march taking place will, as usual, be exploited by the Democrats and the leftist Liberals, further exacerbating the situation!

However, allowing children to affect policy isn't where adults should be going.

Still, talking heads, and everyone else attempting to exploit this travesty by projecting how the Kid's should be feeling, and what they should be thinking, need to shut the hell up.
