An early spring?

As the legend goes, if the groundhog sees its shadow, it is frightend and dives back down its hole, we will have 6 more weeks of winter, right?

What happens when the groundhog does not see its shadow?

Well, I decided to find out. The morning of Feb. 2nd I was ready and waiting, the second that its head appeared, I blew it off.

It never had a chance to see its shadow, it didn't dive back down its hole! So where the heck is SPRING?

I live in the deep south and today our weather is beautiful. Many folks are running around in shorts and short sleeves. Wish I could share with all of you living where it is freezing cold or snowing today.

I do believe that the span between Groundhog Day and the First Day of Spring is exactly 6 weeks. What did you expect -Spring on February 3?
