I've been to Muleshoe a jillion times over the years. And, I just got to thinking, by Texas standards, Dawn is just a couple of hours from Sunray.

I grew up there and it was a great TOWN.
Sort of dying out now.
My brother owned Mohawk Auto Parts.
His health got bad, so he sold it to his son.
My brother still lives there in Richland Hills .

My cousin raised his family there and was there from probably late 60s until his wife passed away in 2007. He is retired and now lives in Lubbock.

In the early 1960's 2 young friends came with me to Texas from Detroit Mi. and they saw the biggest Jack rabbit about 8 feet tall in Odessa, then the biggest hamburgers ever, then the biggest rattle snake around 90 inches, then the biggest cockroaches. They were very impressed. We then went to my uncle's house in was at night and one of my friends fell into the swimming pool, and started yelling"don't flush don't flush!!!"
