Isaiah chapter 39

Verse 1 & 2

After God killed the Assyrian army, Jerusalem was conquered by Babylon. Babylon will remove the Southern kingdom of the children of Jacob. God is fed up with both houses of the children of Jacob. He sets up one kingdom and puts down another. He can’t die. He doesn’t change. If this nation lets the left continue to divide us, we will fall also. If we can’t stand together we will fall apart.

Verse 3 & 4

Isaiah inquires of Hezekiah, what did the men want, where they were from, and what did he show them? Everything.

Verse 5 & 6

Until America, wealth was stolen or extorted or acquired by dishonest means. America invented a new term, to make money. In America, a poor man could become rich and a rich man could become poor. The color of privilege in America is not black or white, it’s green. Isaiah informs Hezekiah that one day, all the wealth of Judea shall be taken to Babylon. And his children shall be eunuchs in Nebuchadnezzar’s court.

Verse 7 & 8

This statement makes me believe Hezekiah is childless at this time.
