First we had men/women trapped in women's/men's bodies. In spite of that pesky 'chromosome sciency thingy', it is now possible to create the illusion of having a surgical change of gender 'assignment'. Then we have people 'identifying' as being of a clearly different race, like Rachel Dolezal, for instance. Now we have people claiming mental youth in physical adulthood. They've even invented a name for it: 'Trans-age'!

OK people of OPP! Place your bets! As I see it there are several possible outcomes for this trial:

1. He goes to prison for a very long time and is forever branded a sexual deviant.
2. He is found mentally deficient and is remanded to the care of a mental healthcare establishment until 'cured'.
3. The court buys into the 'trans-age defense' and issues a restraining order barring him from coming within a certain distance of a minor, thus legitimizing the obviously outrageous idea that a nine-year-old can live in a grown man's body, adding 'trans-age' to the growing list of 'special' people along with homosexuals, lesbians, transsexuals, etc... (it's hard to keep track these days).
4. He is totally exonerated of all charges and released without further ado on the understanding that he will limit his deviant activities to people who do not know him; again, legitimizing his claim of 'special' status.

So what do you think? Will his fate be 1, 2, 3 or 4? Some combination thereof or something else entirely? I'm going for #4, because this is Chicago and if there was any other outcome, this would not be Chicago.

I would guess number 4. There is an actual case of an adult male claiming to be a 6 year old girl. A couple "adopted " the "child" and dress him inlittle girl clothes and, last I heard they had enrolled him/her/it in a private school. As i remember it, the story was in Sweden, but I could be mistaken.

How is it that people go along with these wild delusions? Is this some kind of 'selective disease' or something? Not that long ago they would have been lying on a couch talking to a professional trickcyclist but now they're celebrated as 'brave' and 'courageous'. What gives?

#2 for two reasons. A. It will be argued that if he goes to prison he'll be beaten and eventually killed by the other inmates. and B. He'll likely face a liberal judge who will demand a mental competency evaluation and the 'doctors' will want to admit him for further study so they can 'cure' him.
