One of the best investigative reporters in this country may well have come up with why FBI and DOJ people are being exposed slowly but surely. In telling why she thinks she knows what is happening she all but throws names at us. I have to believe that once the House throws those names and what happened at us on that memo they have talked about this week it seems to me that the committee and Atkinson may have told us plenty. I can't not believe what she says here. She is convinced that it is not what is being hidden to stop Trump but she does wonder "why" it was done. She thinks, like me, that they just had to hide what they had been doing for years.

This is what puzzles me:

"Meantime, the Department of Justice has officially warned the House Intelligence Committee not to release its memo. It's like the possible defendant in a criminal trial threatening prosecutors for having the audacity to reveal alleged evidence to the judge and jury."

The Attorney General of the United States is the head of the Justice Department. WTF is wrong with Sessions? All he would have to do is give the order. Way I see it, We the People are the jury in this case, we must see the evidence.

Yes he is a coward. Laura Ingraham, just two days ago on her talk show, said that she really liked Sessions but and he is the wrong man for DOJ. She was talking to an ex fed prosecutor, Joe Degenova. He was brilliant & insightful needs to replace Sessions or a man like Gowdy. We MUST be a nation of laws or we will go down!

That would certainly have to be the FBI since that kind of thing is what they work with all the time. I have been able to accept any conspiracy theory pertaining to the DOJ since 2009 and I don't think Sessions has changed anything yet.

Did DOJ say they would put all Republican House members in the pen if they release that info? I thought we still had separation of powers and DOJ and House of Representatives are from separate parts of the government. I can't believe that Sessions and people will accept the so quickly concocted answer to the GOP from the Dems but they have promised to release their pile of Pelosi.

I would prefer Rudy Giuliani. I like Gowdy where he is, in fact, I would prefer him as a senator. I will admit, however, he would be an excellent A.G.

Yes sir, Rudy is more qualified for cases like organized crime families..
Sessions is in way over his head..
I do wish that he would step aside.
Even if he still keeps the title of AG..

Gowdy is more aggressive in my opinion and has less baggage and is one of the smartest people in Washington. He is like a bull dog never gives up seeking the truth. That being said I do like Rudy and he should be considered for a part in the Trump administration.
Had Gowdy been the attorney general this investigation would have ended obviously with whatever the outcome. Gowdy believes as I do the people need to know the truth.
I feel that both Trump and Gowdy both want to change the direction of our country for the better. The American tax payers have been mushrooms to long. Kept in the dark and feed bs.
There are more crooks in Washington per population than anywhere else in the United States when Congress is in session on both sides of the isle.
I do understand that Gowdy in his current position is an asset to the American taxpayer I just wish there were more like him that out the people who elected him ahead of their personal gain.

Rudy would be great but he isn't as healthy as Trump. I would hate to be on trial with Gowdy coming after me for sure. He has irritated me a few times because he has defended Comey and Muller but I knew it was what the law dictated and not what he personally may have wanted to do. He is a shooting star in my book and hope he never flames out. I don't get a thrill up my leg but I sure do enjoy watching him work.
