To me, what this boils down to is why would Trumpet feel the need to use language like he did? Regardless of how the country and continents are governed, why is it necessary to demean the populations of poor, 3rd-world countries? We, certainly, wouldn’t like it if the leader of another country insulted the US; and, we’re certainly NOT a 3rd-world country. Why should our president feel it necessary to insult another?
Also, FYI, The White House, recently put out a statement that said, “... Perdue and Cotton told the White House, last week, that they’d heard the word, “shit-house,” rather than “shit-hole,” thus, allowing the two senators to deny the president’s comments on television over the weekend. The two had initially said publicly that they, “... could not recall ... ,” what the president said.
In addition to repeatedly lying about what Trumpet said, Cotton went on to impugn the integrity of Sen. Durbin (D-Ill.), actually had spoken the truth when relaying what Trumpet had said. When questioned as to whether Trumpet had NOT spoken the offending word, and, that the sentiment was meant as sarcasm, Cotton doubled-down and lied again, saying, “Yes.”
Then, apparently enjoying the taste of his own foot in his mouth, Cotton added his other foot when he went on to say, “... Senator Durbin has misrepresented what happened in White House meetings before, and he was corrected by the Obama administration officials by it.” That’s the only true statement Cotton has made regarding the whole “shit-house” affair. Too bad for Cotton and Perdue that the White House put out the statement that clarifies what actually took place, the order in which it occurred and that they, both, had lied, not once, but several times about their recollection of what had occurred.
Two, current, YUGE liars accusing a past-liar of lying about our own, YUGE, “Liar-in-Chief;” and it’s the White House, itself, that exposes Cotton and Perdue to be just as guilty of lying as they tried to paint Durbin to be. Where they overtake Durbin, is in the fact that they double-downed on their lies and added to them by lying multiple times. Durbin only lied the one time and didn’t bother to repeat the same lie over, and over, and over, again, and again, and again. Some learn fr0om their mistakes. Others like them so much that they remind me of the TV commercial that shows people who enjoy bad things happening to them. Cotton and Perdue, apparently, enjoy being proven to be liars, just like Trumpet, double-down on their lies.
