You sound like scientific theories are never questioned and yet questioning is a basic tenant of the scientific method.
I thought all educated adults knew that.
If you are knowledgeable at all abut the history of the development of science and how it had worked for centuries you should be aware that many, perhaps hundreds, of "accepted" scientific facts have been thrown over and replaced with truer theories. Perhaps you could start with the geocentric theory.
