I find it funny that my dad went through the depression and that generation, literally starving many time s would not take government handouts because it felt like charity. The great majority of Americans durring that trying time did not steal. Now these liberals make excuses for abhorrent behavior. Never the individuals fault. These people are enabling bad behavior and don't even know it.

I take it you know nothing about the construction industry. I was in construction for about fifty years and saw this first hand, about illegals taking jobs from Americans. So you are the one that states something about something you know nothing about. You were a teacher and never ventured into the real world, so you know only about things that you have heard about, but never had seen it first hand. Where I lived in Western Colorado all races of people picked fruit and vegetables during the seasons, not just Mexicans or illegals. Most of us have lived in the real world and not in the world of academia. I bet you never got your hands dirty doing manual labor for someone else.

Maybe if contractors would pay a decent wage, more Americans would apply. Don't be getting on the illegals; the contractors do the hiring.

The corporations that do that are violating the law! they are commiting crimes some are felonies ! but you go after the victims of those crimes! We should have a guest worker program for the farm workers with portability where the corporations will compete for workers.
