He was a very interesting guy. Smart as a whip and very interested in the world around him. It was Pareto who first noticed the lop-sided 80/20 wealth distribution ratio of the 1890s. His studies on root cause analysis are still taught in management and engineering schools today. 'Pareto Analysis' is his namesake achievement.

He also knew Carl Menger, the total genius at the root of the Austrian School of Economics.

Oh, and he wasn't much of a fan of Fascism, either.

Those in the 80% who keep blaming the 20% for not educating the 80% in the lessons of history are the enablers of the 20%. With freedom comes an equivalent amount of individual responsibility for one's life and actions/in-actions. The 20% are more motivated by power than the 80%. Keeping the 80% in the dark about how they will maintain their positions of power is acting in the 20%'s own self-interest ... which is human nature.

The 20% control the entire educational process, as part of their plan to maintain power over the 80%, a large segment of which have been and continue to be oblivious to the intentional changes brought about in education by the 20% since the 80% were in school. The 20%, through the influence of the Teachers' Union on education standards and the educational curriculum, have changed the content of subject books by lobbying the publishers of those books to change the treatment of certain subjects giving them more favorable treatment (ex: Socialism, while at the same time presenting Capitalism and its synergistic relationship to Freedom and Liberty more negative treatment) or short shrift.

History, especially the significant events in the settling, growth and life of America and her role in the world, is given negative coverage and she is depicted as just another evil entity on the world stage. Little objection is raised to these changes over time because, after all, no one likes to study History anyway. Little if any space is given to the study of our founding documents, understanding them and the important historical context which brought them into existence. Less is devoted to the philosophical/theological roots which emphasize the Divine Origin of our Rights and Liberties, thus making the saying, "If you do not know what your Rights are, you do not have any." a self-fulfilling philosophy.

The study of the effects of religion in culture is forbidden - if the religion is Christianity - because religion's innate relationship to morality and moral codes is counter-productive to the ends of the 20%. Instead, they replace the universal moral code with the failed philosophy of Moral Relativism. They replace belief in a Power higher than Man with the failed philosophy of Secular Humanism. They replace societal values with the failed philosophy of Values Clarification (which is really Values Nullification).

The 80% have allowed the 20% to do this because the 20% makes sure the 80% cannot live on one income and still support the huge, more intrusive, all-powerful and controlling government bureaucracy that is the Swamp the 20% calls home. The 20% maintains control of the education establishment by telling the 80% the continuing lie that government must control the education system "so that the children will have a level playing field and quality education, guaranteeing their success in life". The 20% regulate those who "Home School" even though Home Schooled children out-perform Public Schooled children by dramatic margins. The 20% tell lies about school choice, a position antithetical to Freedom, in order to maintain their monopoly on education and their power over the 80%.

The question becomes, "How do you reverse this process?" You do not change attitudes without bringing about a general realization of how destructive the prevalent attitude is to preserving the Freedom and Liberty which was paid for many times with the blood and by the sacrifice of previous generations. Only then can you hope to change it. We ALL know now that this is NOT going to happen with us sitting on the sidelines, doing (or NOT doing) the same things we have been doing for more than two generations. Run for the School Board of Education. There's an eye opener for you. Ask questions about diminishing standards and prioritizing studies within the curriculum. Run for public office. INVESTIGATE those who DO run for public office. PIN THEM DOWN when questioning their positions. Don't accept anyone's self-description as a "Conservative" without having them define the term and justify their positions through that lens.

In other words, GET INVOLVED!!
