No kidding. There are people out there who are allergic to Christmas trees. At least that's what a Christmas tree farmer says. Not a doctor or other medical professional, but a tree farmer.
There is a reference in the article to a medical professional however, and even a quote from said professional. Unfortunately, our 'medical professional', one Dr. Albert Gros, turns out to be an anesthesiologist, not an actual doctor of medicine.
Just to add to the general aura of officialdom, the article goes on to frighten us with "real trees can trigger an allergic reaction with symptoms that can include: wheezing, coughs, congestion, sore eyes and potentially
life-threatening asthma attacks". See that, your beautiful, decorated, sweet-smelling Christmas tree is a threat to your very life. Better get rid of it before it kills you and your family, going on to attack the entire neighborhood.

I look forward to your stories of horror and dire warnings about the cataclysmic effects of these most terrifying plants.
No tale of horror. Just what it is.
My husband is literally allergic to every tree, bush, and grass as well mold, known to man. He had so many problems growing up. He had several scratch tests done when we first married. He was on allergy shots for years. They did help. Finally he quit taking them because he got to where he could not stand another stick. He still has problems when there is a concentration of trees, bushes, flowers. and such.
This really made it tough for him as he likes to camp and be outdoors. He was a scout leader for many years. Lots of campouts. He just kept his inhaler handy and "lived with it".
When first married and while the kids were growing up, we had real trees. Now we have an artificial tree. I am o.k. with that. He uses the inhaler a lot less.
We have a beautiful Balsam, lightly christened by my puppy, worth every sneeze. That said allergies are real, but I believe caused by the many toxins our bodies have been fed. They are an over reation to things not inherently dangerous. My daughter can't take a granola bar
for lunch, because someone in the school has a nut allergy and supposedly just the smell of it can send her into shock. So what happens to pb and j, ?Anyway I believe our immune systems have been so assaulted, and have gone haywire. You never saw this years ago, immunizations? I believe a better approach would be looking into immune modulating herbal supplements. Things such as raw honey, medicinal mushrooms show promise in helping the body identify real and false threats. Otherwise we just become further dependant on drug companies, doctors ect.

This is how deranged society has become. Everyone else has to coalesce to the one student.
Just like soon you won’t see a Christmas Tree due to it offending some moslum student.
Just saying.

Went to a Dr and had allergy test done where they use your back as a road map poke you with all kinds of scary stuff come to find out I'm allergic to white pine. DR asked me if I had any white pine near my house which would explain my sneezing and watery eye's.I told him maybe it Could be the 300 acres behind my house that belongs to the lumber co.
I had the same thing done. I worked at a 760 acre Park that was trees, bushes, grasses, etc. Turns out I was allergic to almost everything there. I wouldn't let them test me for any kind of food. Just have to take a pill and deal with it. Merry CHRISTmas to all here. Mike
