One week left to pass that Tax Cut bill and now Utah Senator Mike Lee is balking, asking for an increase in the Earned Income tax Credit for the working poor even though the Standard Deduction has been doubled for all.
The reality is this, Mike Lee:
Nobody will get ahead economically, even with an increase in the EIC or an increase in the minimum wage, until we stop INFLATION created by the Federal Reserve Bank printing excess money, the biggest hidden tax that strips all Americans of the value of their currency, time and labor.
Now if our good Senators would like to attach the "Audit the Fed" bill, (H.R. 24 / S. 16) to this Budget Reconciliation Tax Cut, go for it Senator Mike Lee. Let's turn off the bubble machine. That would do more to help the working poor and retired seniors on fixed incomes watching their life savings evaporate into thin air than all the fake raises in the world.
I don't want a raise, I want you to double the buying power of our dollar.

You are correct. Unfortunately most don't or don't want to understand this. The very same group that melts down over climate change, saying we are destroying the climate for my grandchildren don't realize the growing debt is a much closer reality and will destroy their kids and grandchildren's quality of life.
