Republican fix for out of control gun violence, in the wake of worst mass shooting: make America set of Mad Max

The House of Representatives approved legislation Wednesday loosening gun regulations and allowing those with permits to carry concealed weapons to legally travel with those firearms to other states, a top priority of the National Rifle Association.

The bill passed mostly along party lines, 231-198, with six Democrats supporting it. Fourteen Republicans opposed the legislation, the first major firearms-related bill Congress has voted on since the massacres in Las Vegas and Texas earlier this year.

Republicans argued that Americans' Second Amendment rights to bear arms should not end when they cross state lines.

"The Bill of Rights is not a philosophical exercise," Georgia GOP Rep. Doug Collins, who personally had a concealed carry permit for what described as self-defense reasons. "I don't think that right should be undermined simply because I travel to another state."

Utter madness by the Right presented as just and right. It may only take twenty to fifty years that we will look back and see Republican policies on nearly everything led to the end of America. Meanwhile, our country has been divided up by China, Russia, and a Middle East Consortium. Trump's delusional bromance with Putin helped tremendously. Trump's idiotic move to make Jerusalem Israel's capital was the start. Thought to be unhinged and unsuitable for office, he proved it. The Great Experiment is dead. The Right and Trump killed it. It is only a short matter of time.

Only maybe a year or two until "I told you so" but I hate being correct in this matter.

Thank you for waiting, much appreciated. Gun Violence in America is not just seriously out of control, it is insanely and obscenely out of control. To do nothing is to be complicit in any and all armed attacks. If you take O'Reilly's claim that the death of your children or congregation or concert group is an acceptable price of liberty for Second Amendment rights, how insidiously disgusting. How totally lacking in morality or thought or decency. Shocking!

Our streets, libraries, parks, churches, schools, and so forth are not venues for weapons. Or a militarized police presence. Escalate to that, and the other side goes farther. Then we retaliate with bigger weapons and presence. It is reciprocated. And on and on and on and on and on... Four year olds in preschool armed to the teeth. The gun lobby cannot follow the obvious results to the logical conclusion. Sheer madness.

Gun free zones are where criminals prey.
If you want to stop gun violence, democrat control of our big cities must be eliminated!
A simple solution, commie!

Yes, hemorrhoid, you are critical due to a lack of thinking prior to your vocal diarrhea.

Further, and very importantly, the government will respect the citizens.

Even further: our Constitution guarantees it!

It is a good point to be argued, Criminals will not usually be stopped by gun control. But they can be. If no restrictions on purchase, the Bad guy has immediate access to kill. With even the minimal gun control, he is left to seeking illegal weapon procurement. Not as easy task and it delays direct action.

Most murders are the heat of the moment passion. Someone jilted. A Parent denied parental rights. Sexual betrayal. If many of these did not own a gun and had to wait a month for license, tempers may have cooled. Reconciliation or anger significantly dimmed. The threat of violence over. The same for those depressed. Had I a gun at 36 I may not be writing this piece. To have a law prohibiting those with a restraining order is crucial. Domestic murder is high up in homicides.
