Unions typically grab too much power. It is a human thing. In a balance between powerful companies and workers, unions have their place. In the private sector if unions get too greedy they can put whole industries out of business, so there is a limit on them. Public sector unions have no limit on their power. They can also give political contributions to politicians who favor them. That would be comparable to a private sector union getting to pick the management of a company they are negotiating a contract with.

I side with Republicans because typically public sector unions side with Democrats. What most people fail to see with public sector unions is that as taxpayers, we are all management. Even such a hardcore leftwinger as FDR was against public sector unions.

son of witless: I'm amazed the American electorate let this National Federation of Federal Employees Union (NFFE) fly?

One way that governor Walker went was to go to court and allow the workers to delegate where their union dues were going to be spent in other words they cannot collect the union dues and then send it all to the democrats if there are members that want their dues to go to the republican party. at that point the union loses its grip on the people and the union soon becomes obsolete.

Yes I can. I can imagine being 7 foot tall and dunking a basketball. I can imagine being Barak Obama and being paid $ millions for a fictionalized story of my life. I can imagine being Hillary and being a serial liar and always getting away with it. I can imagine being as rich as Soros and Steyer and what I would do if God gave me all of that money. I can imagine being Donald Trump and not caring that every day the swamp vipers are scheming to sink their poisonous fangs into my back. I can imagine a Senate with out Al Franken. Wait, , , , I don't have to imagine that anymore.
