Dog For Sale

Whether you own a dog or not, you must appreciate the efforts
of this owner trying to sell her dog.
Look at the picture of this lovable
Chinese Mastiff and then read the sales pitch below.

Dog For Sale. Excellent guard dog. Owner cannot afford to feed Jethro any more, as there are no more drug pushers, thieves, murderers, or molesters left in the neighborhood for him to eat. Most of them knew Jethro only by his Chinese street name, Ho Lee Schitt.

That was a very unique ad. Loved it. And Ho Lee Schitt, that is one humongous dog!

I too enjoyed the pitch!
Life span: 12 – 15 years
Origin: Tibet
Height: Male: 26–30 inches (66–76 cm), Female: 24–28 inches (61–71 cm)
Temperament: Tenacious, Stubborn, Strong Willed, Intelligent, Protective, Aloof
Weight: Male: 100–160 lbs (45–73 kg), Female: 75–120 lbs (34–54 kg)
Colors: Black, Black & Tan, Brown, Red Gold, Brown & Tan, Blue Gray

Imagine a 30 inch at the shoulder, 160 pounds of pure muscle, with one goal...the elimination of a threat charging at you.
No wonder he got the street name! My question, if she sells him, will the street crime go back up? Perhaps we should just send her cash and food so her streets can remain crime free.

Wow..they do get big don't they. Seriously, do we have some big attack dogs down there. I know we have drug sniffing dogs, but how about ones that just attack and ask questions later.....the border agent that just got beaten to death by rocks to the head by an ambush....would he still be alive if he had a guard dog with him??

Our boarder agents back years ago had guard dogs, but they were deemed "excessive force" and are no longer employed. In fact, an agent can not call in for a "sniffer" unless the suspect is on US territory. My thought, we need to end the war in the ME, bring all the "working dogs" with their handlers and offer both veterans (as the dog would be a veteran) well paid jobs on the boarder. If the agent had a good, well-trained dog with him..... I doubt that he would have been killed. I would not wager on how many the dog would have made sorry for picking up a rock or their immediate continued good health.

I agree. I believe when we have our border agents getting ambushed, excessive force is quite appropiate.

A good patrol dog is like a bullet you can recall if the offender stops being stupid. They stopped being used because they work, another reason they stopped using them was because they and their handler became targets.

I'm pretty much thinking they're targets now..a big change needs to come about. If that means guard dogs then so be it.... I'd love to see it!!

On today's show, "Full Measure" with Sharyl Attkisson, which is on every Sunday morning she has a segment about the Border Patrol and no mention of using dogs. This is a good show and I look forward to it every Sunday morning.
