Don! I understand your position and I want to ask you one question? Where were the decent people, and you, when they removed prayer from schools, ushered in abortion, allowed the government to get to its current size? Where were they when all the evil that was allowed to permeate every aspect of our society during the 1960s. When you look at our nation today, you see the same evil and corruption. We are reaping the results of what we allowed to happen back in the 1960s, 1970s, etc. When you look at Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, Eric Holder, George W. Bush, Donna Brazile, Donald Trump, etc., they are the products of that time. They have no respect for life, other people’s rights, our Constitution, Rule of Law, etc. From their perspective, the means justifies the end.
We got lazy as a people and we’re too much into enjoying our opulence. Everytime the government raised taxes, nobody questioned whether it was necessary. When the government, SCOTUS, allowed abortion, everybody took the position that it must be OK, because the government said it was OK. You are just as responsible as the people who engage in this sinful behavior that is destroying our nation. Why? You sat on your fat ass and did nothing. Donald Trump can’t save America. He is just one man. It will take the collective will and actions of the American People along with God’s mercy, forgiveness and divine guideance. To be honest with you, I think it is too late to change things and anything we do will not matter much in the long run. I have fought this war since the 1970s speaking out against it. I have been called a racist, bigot and every vile name in the book. I have lost a couple of jobs for standing up for the truth. I never drank, smoked, did drugs or lived a harmful lifestyle that was dangerous to my well being. I am not perfect and I have made mistakes like any other human being. In the final analysis, you are just as responsible as any jerk who sticks a needle in his arm, kills an innocent young girl on a pier in California or some corrupt politician that takes a bribe and compromises his/her office. Why? You did nothing! Now! You got it, BUD!
Don! I understand your position and I want to ask ... (
show quote)
I’m older than don. Grew up in the 40’s. And If I read him right, he was just like so many of us that believed in or Government. We believed that most all people meant well.
That our flag and our Constitution,
was foremost in the hearts of all citizens.
After all, we had just defeated an enemy that had waged war on all of man kind, for the 2nd time.
And at the same time defeated another country that had so viciously attacked us on our own soil. No small feet to be sure. And I remember my dad saying to me when I was a small boy.
The country is tired son. So very tired.
I didn’t know what that meant then, but I sure as hell know now.
And it does seem to me, at that point in time, all the people wanted, was to get back to work, forget about the hard times, and get on with our lives.
And lets not forget, at the same time this country was coming out of the great depression.
So I don’t think it to much of a stretch to realize, the citizens of this country were vulnerable to social engineering.
I am not going to blame Don or the rest of us, for being in the silent
majority. And I think it is wrong of you to do so. I could ask you the same thing. Where were you when all this crap happened? What were you doing to help prevent this.
I’m sure Don was busy raising a family, working to make a good wage
so he could provide for his family, obeying the law and what was right, just as we all did at that time. Believing just as we all, that our government would look out for us.
Never suspecting our own government was the enemy.
Oh no, this is not the fault of Don or any of us. You want some one to blame. Try blaming the politicians
that put the fox in the hen house.
Blame the money grubbers, crooks and the thieves. There right in front of your eyes. Stop looking in shadows, and behind trees for the boogie man. Stop blaming the good people, and lay the blame on the bad ones.
The eyes of the country are open now. And we made a very good start to take our country back by making Donald Trump our president. Never give up. That’s a sign of a defeatist.
And if you think that will help, than you are a good part of the country’s problem.
