Might I suggest that you obtain the book Disinformation by Lt. Gen Ion Mihai Pacepa the highest ranking Soviet Bloc intelligence official to defect to the USA. He was in charge of this type of Soviet disinformation for years and the book explains how it is done. He also wrote Red Horizons about his activity for Russia and her states. After you have read these you might have changed your mind. If not I can give you the names of at least 6 other books that I have read on the subject. They might broaden your frame of reference.
