I've been researching the effects of these major earthquakes and volcanic eruptions and plate shifting, and I've found the "proactive measures" you mention won't have anyone survive for more than a few months at best... And a person who needs medical attention after the collapse of an area's social infrastructure will include the lack of available medical and police to assist in aiding the vast majority... And if you investigate the vastness of these catastrophes, you'll see the universal effects on the atmosphere, the soils, and the landscapes worldwide will last years...

Agree, and the average life expectancy for most survivors would likely be measured in weeks, experienced survivalist, would survive indefinitely provided initial resources are avaliable /reachable.
